We noticed something bizard right away with the 2022. There are 2 black boxes near the upper edge of the headlight illumination pattern.

I believe 2021 was the first year for standard LED low beams. Anyone else notice this?

Why does the back of your hood scoop look like the Eye of Sauron?

This is by design and is a cutoff of the beam. Its some DOT safety thing for not blinding oncoming drivers. Not sure how that works as i get beamed all the time like i have my highs on but dont.

My 2022 has those same weird issues with the headlights… I just thought I needed to clean them off ..

glad others are seeing this too and it’s not just mine..

as an aside I really like the auto high beams on the highway.. but on the country roads the feature is useless (keeps switching to sim randomly on wooded roads) and I just go back to manual high beams..

the headlights are high from the factory. I had to drop mine. Haven’t been flashed since. See below for how high they are. I was surprised.

I live just outside San Diego on country roads and I used to get flashed all the time

Same. Flashed from the day I picked it up and after I lifted it. A simple headlamp adjustment that takes less than 5 minutes and haven't been flashed since.

Yeah the lights are the worst thing about the 4R IMO. I actually try to drive around with my brights on when I can just so I don't have to see it. Plus I live in an apartment with a parking garage so I see it all the damn time. Hopefully they will learn better LED technology for the 6th Gen. and camera resolution.

Yeah, I lowered mine on 4 day trip to AZ, UT, and NV. I got tired of Semi's flashing me as I passed them! Luckily I had my tool bag so I pulled over at a gas station and lowered them. As soon as I hopped back on the highway, the flashing stopped.
