Hello everyone my name is Ivan, my mom recently tried to jump start her 2018 limited 4runner... of course it didn't go as planned do to the wires being crossed... I know it's a great mistake but I give her props for trying. Now, nothing inside works but the gauges and security light underneath the infotainment system.. no tail lights but hazard and Headlights are good.. basically all accessories don't work, power seats, sunroof ect.. ect.. key fob is connected as it will beep when pressed to unlock but won't actually move the lock position..NO power to OBDII port..with all my research I've came to the conclusion that it is that relay or "main fuse" #41 can be the issue. Can anyone confirm? I'm hours away from mom and I'd like to help her best I can from afar.. also because I'm not there I cannot get a part number to the fuse/relay so that it can be purchased and replaced, so if anyone could help me with that as well I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks to anyone and everyone with information!

Hopefully your right, it was just a fuse and you didn’t smoke one of the computers.

I’d say your on the right track, pull #41 and take a look. It will be obvious if it is blown. I’ve seen this exact situation in a different mode Toyota. In my case the main fuse was blown as well as a couple in the fuse box. You will need to systematically check every fuse and replace as needed. Hopefully it’s just a few fuses and you will be good to go. Good luck!

the voltage flip flopped and on a DC electrical system the cost will be very expensive ,,, jumper cables.. diodes in the system and the electrical circuits have to be replaced ..burned up..
when I buy my new vehicles I put red paint on the battery positive post area.......I use a battery changer and if an idiot does not put on the wrong terminals the battery charger does not damage the electrical system..
