My 4runner has 1 tow hook and one tie down on the front, and no tow points in the back. I would like to have 2 tow hooks for both front and back for more stability when getting pulled out.

The only issue is that the OEM tow hooks for the 4runners are no longer made and dealers who do have them are asking way too much ($100+ just for a hook) for them. None of the scrap yards have any 4runners right now, and this seems simple enough for 3rd parties to replicate.

Is anyone selling tow hooks for our 3rd gens that bolt right onto the frame using the mounts already there?

    Old, outdated vehicle.

All this #overland new wave stuff is meant for newer vehicles, unless of course it's a universal application.

In a pinch, you can use the hooks (as many have done so before, myself included).

For the rear, I have an aftermarket bumper but before I got it, I used my tow hitch with one of those shackle hitch mounts. It goes in your receiver, and the other end gives you a recovery point so you can use a soft or hard shackle.

On another note, if I ever install my hidden winch mount, I'll gladly let you have my OEM hook and tie down.

CURT makes a tow hook that's basically identical to the OEM ones. Click my hyperlink
