Plasti dip holds up really well in mud. So Long as you let it settle for about 2 weeks after painting them. I wouldn't power wash directly at the plasti dip, however.

That progression and the current wheel/tire combo are awesome. Also makes me wish I had the lunar rock -- the look can vary so much, each very distinct.

Definitely dont power wash plastidip. I dipped the TRD letters on the skid plate and it didnt take much to peel the dip right off.

EDIT - Check that, dont power wash dipped letters. I also dipped the valances, front and back, and have had no problem power washing these.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who has the best looking Lunar Rock of all - Banxwondar!

The Lunar Rock looks best a little dirty and in the shade. Everyone tends to take a picture when shiny clean and in the full sun. Looks much better in the shade!

First oil change at 1K, finally got my ditch lights installed and added the center console organizer. Reworked my CB antenna mount and added the Comet swivel mount so I can lower the antenna when needed - great mount but a bit fiddly for my application New Thinkware front and rear dash cam showed up today - this will be the next late afternoon home from work mod. Gotta save up a little money and then I can order the Rago Fab center console storage set-up. This will allow me to get my CB mounted and functioning.IMG_20211108_1557155.jpg IMG_20211108_1557221 (1).jpg

LOL, thanks! I agree it does look best in shade as it takes on more of a greyish hue.
    Thanks, appreciate it!

I’ve been looking at the access holes in my warn bumper and thinking of all the salt spray in winter. I want to keep as much of that off the winch. So I made a couple of cover plugs using the foam padding that came in the winch packaging, and a cheap thin HDPE cutting board I cut to size. Easy to put on, easy to take off for winching operations. I’ll probably plastidip the red plastic black.

    Screenshot_20211111-004216_Chrome.jpg
    Just pulled the trigger
and purchased a monitor that integrates with existing toyota factory tire pressure sennsors in my 5th Gen 4runner limted. Its a small footprint, takes up an empty lightswitch blank, has an antenna under the dash that picks up the factory tire sensors, and displays all 4 tires pressure (psi and kps), tire temp (f and c) and vehicle voltage, and its touch screen.
I spent FOREVER searching for a display that uses the already existing sensors. This is marketed to Lexis, but i have talked with the company and they said it will work with any Toyota-Lexus vehicle after a certain date.(memory fails me on that particular). Just got tired of the no frills light going off on the dash, then having to check each tire. Yea, I'm fat and lazy damit, got a problem with that? now this will free up my Scangaauge II, for more important readings. Will post photos once it is installed. If it works out well, my wife has already requested on for her '10 Highlander. I put the link below. I believe the company is out of Taiwan.

Great Idea and Thanks for Sharing! … I didn’t know that they manufacture this bumper with no hoop bar … I own the first version of the bumper.

I don't like paying sales tax either, but I see it not as theft but as paying my debt of gratitude for the privilege of being able to drive my 4Runner (aka Wondermobile!) in all the beautiful places in this amazing country of ours.

If you hit a large critter and you will be very happy that you have that bull bar. I smoked a deer, perfect broadside hit at 55 mph, no time to hit the brakes. Bent my license plate frame and pulled the bumper-cut trim off. Better than having my ride in the shop for new facia, radiator, etc. and the inconvenience. Bumper paid for itself that day.
Pic of the carnage in the link.

I wish i had a bull bar on my warn, but was thankful for a cheaper, available option that worked with my TSS sensor.

I had the same concern. This is how I did it.

3 pieces of plexiglass, cut to size and shape.

1st pic shows, right side piece is the outer cover, middle piece is a spacer that fits in the hole, left is the tab piece to hold it all on the bumper.DSC_8387.jpg
This is an upside-down pic of the cover.
    DSC_8389.jpg
Slide the back tab through the access hole.
    DSC_8383.jpg
Not a tight fit, but good 'nuff.
    DSC_8384.jpg
It ain't pretty, but it is functional. It should keep most of the salty slush out of the access port.

The trimming isn’t so bad actually. Once you make the first cut, all the cares go away lol.

Thinking of doing a comparison video. Stock LED vs the aftermarket LED on halogen projector. 2 pics for now. The most important factor is I'm keeping every setting consistent. ISO, shutter speed, aperture, white balance. If not I think I can make a halogen look brighter than LED..:p

    All of them.
Toyota for us. Work just as fine in our opinion as the Bosch and cost 6.00 a piece. The factory ones on my Tacoma were horrible. The 4R seem much better

My Bosch were ~$30 each. Can't remember the last time I bought a $7 wiper, but it probably sucked.
