Hi all, just purchased a 2nd gen from my mom, shes been trying to sell it for a while and the money she got from it is being used to rebuild my late uncles 89 E30 BMW and I figured we've had the 4runner in the family for quite sometime so I decided to purchase it and keep it in the family. I used to have a 3rd gen and it was nice had no issues with it, this has been pretty modified suspension wise, little by little I'll be doing a bit of maintenance on it. I do plan on keeping the lift, had the front and rear end rebuilt. I plan on doing some interior upgrades to add some modern features. thumbnail_IMG-6368.jpg

Haha thanks, I know its definitely 4wd with rear axle lockers. As far as I'm aware all of the suspension mods were done about 15 years ago, so to my knowledge I wouldn't honestly know.

looking at that pic a bit more carefully, I would agree you’ll be keeping that lift. It looks like the drag link bracket in the rear has been redone. That to me tells me this thing was not just modded with a lift kit, it’s been pretty much re-built into a monster. And that front end has to be solid axle conversion, I cant imagine how they could get those tires could be where they are with the puny little wishbones (relatively speaking) a stocker has. It would be cool to see more pictures!

None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!

Haha I know some of the mods it has but no completely. As far what I doing right now with it is trying to get maintenance done on it. Just resealing a couple of oil leaks and changing out any coolant lines. Then after that it'll be some suspension work haha.

I sure would love to drool over some more pictures! Especially the underside, if you happen to find yourself underneath it sometime soon.

So, how exactly do you get in that thing? The door sill looks like would come up to waist level on most people.
