Door lock issues

90 4runner 3.slow. Does anyone know why my doors instantly unlock after I try to lock them. When I hit the lock button at drivers door, they lock but instantly unlock.

 

If it's like the third gen...the 3rd gen does that if you have the key in the ignition so you don't lock your keys in the car. So maybe your ignition switch is faulty?

 

Hmm I havent tried taking the keys out. I dont think. Ill try that tonight. thanks

 

That didnt work. Still cant lock my doors without them unlocking again.
