I’m looking to purchase a used 2018 nautical blue trd off road premium with 17555 miles on it. It’s clean inside and out. What is difference between this 2018 and 2021/2022 trd off road premium? I was looking to order a 2022 in lunar rock but it’s around 6k difference for a new one..

I would get the 2018. What is the asking price?

That's a sweet ride. If you can get the 22 for 6k more I would get the new one

I can get the 18 for around $39-40k I know the 22 would be around $49k. It does look new with small minor scratches and the interior looks almost new for a 18. I don’t really need the safety sense or the bigger display and led headlights which is all nice to have. I really like the lunar rock color but the nautical blue in person is a nice color as well.

One of my ORP's has all weather mats, sunroof and premium plus (terrain viewer) for 46K.

So for 6k you are talking the miles, 4 model years, led headlights, blind spot monitoring, occupancy alarms, new infotainment screen, and safety sense.

    I have a 2018 ORP.
Don’t want safety sense etc. Entertainment screen is fine, I’ve heard the newer screens scratch more easily. Got some great Oedro all weather floor mats.
I did the mod for brighter halogen lo/hi beams H9/9011. Also installed Toyota LED fog lights. I’m pretty happy with the results.

I'm with this one. I have a Black 2018 TRD ORP prem. I knew I didn't want the 'nanny' nonsense or KDSS, since I planned on lifting/modding it. I caught it coming off lease with 16,000 and some change. Don't mind the on board screen since I bluetooth data to my tablet anyway. I may change out front speakers at some point, I'm a talk radio junky so don't need super-duper stereophonic.

    I'm pretty happy with mine.

I specifically bought a '19 because I did not want the safety sense nonsense. KDSS is great.

I think that price is very reasonable, especially if you can get it for under $40k.

If 6K difference, I would buy the 2022 Lunar rock. If 9/10K difference the 2018.

If you can find a lunar rock orp w/kdss and nothing else you are looking at 46k and change. Chances of that happening are probably slim to none as I am sure dealer will add other extras and then maybe even market adjustment fee? Idk if you are shopping around you’ll know. As others have mentioned not much changed besides a few things.

Looks like Oahu in the background and those are Hawaii plates. I’d be willing to bet a new one is going to be quite a bit more than just $6k difference. In the end, If lunar rock is what you want, then don’t settle. But that seems like a great price, especially if it’s in Hawaii. If you get a new one, I’d say go to Servpro in Waipahu. They don’t traditionally tack on that stupid “market adjustment” that other dealers have been doing for years

If access to a supercharger matters at all to you there’s a difference there too. 2020+ model years saw an ecu change where there’s still no supercharger available, whereas 2018 model can be supercharged. That would be a factor for me if I was choosing between the two since I often drive mountain passes. I’d take the savings and put toward a supercharger
