The front end is jacked up, but it could just be the torsion bar, and the back end is sagging. I know it has rough country shocks, and that rough country sells a lift kit. Is there some way to tell if it has the full kit meaning I only need to replace the rear coils?

best way to tell would be to take a picture and post it here, we can probably tell if it has a lift or not

Take a pic of the shock assembly. Looks like a front leveling kit. Not 100% though.

That wouldnt make a difference, he has a 2nd gen with torsion bar front suspension. No visible way to tell.

OP, what you need to do is look for hub to fender measurements as a reference and see how yours compares. Looks stock, but with saggy rear springs IMO

i agree, i don't think you necessarily have a lift. its possible, maybe a small one, but i think this is more the result of tire size and sagging rear suspension

19 1/2 in the rear and 22 in the front. I like the height of the front end, so to get the rear to match up i just grab some coils? What aize?

Doesn't look like it. I used to own a 95 and it looked the same way. Check for spacers by the upper ball joints, it will look like a thick as heck piece of Metal between the arm and the caliper assembly. Those are popular on the older models like that. It just looks like you're sagging in the rear maybe an inch or so. The smallest lift kit they make for that car is 3"

I have absolutely no earthly idea. But if you look up where your suspension is on the front end, like in the pictures youve shown, and there aren't any spacers, then you don't have a lift. I really doubt you've got a suspension lift on it man, in my opinion redoing all of the suspension just for an inch or two would be rather pointless.

Maybe someone cranked the torsions? Not sure exactly how much you can get out of those but I've heard you can get a few inches, with the downside being it rides like crap. My buddy had the same question and his rides like crap. After some research we figured out someone bad cranked his

86 4Runners and up had Torsion Bars. 86-95 the 4Runner's had the same front suspension, only the 84-85 had SFA's

I knew about the 84/85 SFAs and the 86-89 being IFS. Just didn't know they had torsions.

My question, why does everyone bitch about the second gen having torsions but no one says anything about the 1st gens??

Because the 1st Gens are badass lol. The removable top makes people over look a lot of things. That's why I suggested the Blazeland suspension kit, I was going to run that if I ever got a first gen again.

I agree they're badass, but I don't think that's fair. 1st gen is almost identical to 2nd gen, and the few differences there are are shared by the 2nd gen with the other gens. I agree its not the best but its not as terrible as every likes to claim.

Btw we should probably continue this convo on the bs thread since that's what its for, and just to bug Ramon with more 2nd gen talk lol

I had saggy bottom on my runner i bought a daystar leveling kit for under $50 fixed it right up. It is a spring spacer comfort ride. A little work to install maybe 2 hrs. Or less.
