Has anyone put on the gun metal pro wheels versus black on an ORP (non venture model)

I have a silver ORP and for some reason I am thinking of changing wheels and like gun metal but never see on just ORP.

I’d consider changing grill also if dealer would do it.

This forum is getting dangerous giving me ideas. I mean I like the way it looks now but maybe a change?

    Bone stock...for now.
Watching this thread...I am thinking of doing the same wheels on a Barcelona Red OR.

Thanks Cobra. Gosh I was wondering if that is grey versus gunmetal? Maybe it’s me though and lighting.

This wheel looks darker than the one you had and obviously lighter than all black. I thought they put this initially on Venture models but then they seemed to switch to black.

Have you seen the gold ones yet? Not sure if the dealer here did it, but the gold pro rims look pretty damn good on silver

I looked at them before I bought mine but ultimately got black. In all the pics I saw of those wheels on silver 4Runners (like mine), they just didn't seem to offer any contrast from the wheels to the paint. There's quite a few images out there with various tire and lift setups with the grey wheels. As well as of the bronze (or gold).

There are two TRD Pro gunmetal grey wheels available from Toyota. The "lighter" ones are matte and were offered on the Venture Edition until they switched to black and the glossy one that appears to be darker. Vito Corleone who frequents this site has the glossy on his black TRD ORP.
Personally, when my '22 White ORP gets in I'm considering either the TRD Pro in glossy gunmetal grey or FN Six-shooters in gunmetal.

    Thanks Burnt Taco.

Yeah I think I like the glossy ones better like in the advertisement I posted. I am not sure if they are even available from a dealer. I would hate to buy something not oem being brand new.

If I change the wheel I guess I need to consider new running boards also. Not sure that wheel looks good with aluminum accent board. Here I go down the road of spending cash lol. I will have to look at a ton of pics first. It is hard for me to visualize how the whole package looks.

It all depends on what kind of off roading you will be doing. Personally, I'd go with RSG sliders at 0 degrees with a step plate. A running board with protection. 4Runners can be money pits. Once mine arrives my account will decrease. Any dealer can order these but I'd shop around. If I bring an ad with the cheapest price my dealer will match the price. I wouldn't match wheels and boards. I'd like the wheels to stand out. It would be quite costly but one could buy bare sliders and have them powder coated to match the wheels. Not my taste.

BAM wholesale sells them at a great price as do some other dealers. Tried to put a link up but no luck.

Yep, look at lots of pictures. You'll get there. It's a process lol.

Thanks guys. No off-roading here. I bought this mainly to tow my aluminum fishing boat and keep all my equipment in it year round. I just want to hook up and go.

I have to admit so many setups look sweet though. I like the A/T tire look over my Dunlop’s for sure. I am not sure how much more road noise I would get.

I need to keep some sort of step or running board because I take my 80 yo Dad fishing and he could not step that high. Thanks for all the suggestions. I am in no rush just gives me something to do and look forward to

You can easily upgrade the tires and get a different OEM running board from Toyota. Maybe even trade with someone here. Lots of tire info. here on various threads
    Good luck and have fun.

If you're not off roading, I'd stick with 265's and just find some rims you like if that's your thing.

Forget sliders and lift, unnecessary weight and expense.

A lift makes if more difficult for my wife and elderly mom to get in, even with the steps.

Honestly, I'm on the fence whether I'll replace the 285's when they wear out with 285's, or remove the lift and run 265's.

    And I off road.

I’m thinking about the gunmetal gray wheels on my 2021 Nautical Blue Off Road Premium. Any chance anyone has pictures?

also, is this something I can do through the Toyota dealership?

Stock size, no lift here. Truck sees tons of off road use in every season....never an issue. Whacked the front skid a few times and thats it.
