I know most aftermarket stuff will squeak. But this is more than a squeak its sounds like something dying at low speeds.

Took the bolt out and the bushings. Greased every damn part. Put it back together and its worse!

Had the wife use a jack under the LCA and it does sound like its coming from the UCA and nothing else. About to throw these POS in the trash.

Less than 5k miles on the suspension over couple years and greased every oil change.

Have you tried checking the bushing on the UCA? Or are they stock?

Its the Icon bushings that come with the UCAs.

Took um out and greased them again then greased through the zerks when I put it back. I guess I could order new ones and try.

Wasn't there something within the past year where Icon stated they know their UCA's have issues with bushings and were replacing them?

    Or was that another company?

My UCA bushings went bad a couple months ago, horrible squeaking. Got new ones under warranty, problem solved.

Do I contact Icon direct or do I need to go through my local store?

If I have to deal with back and forth I'll just pay for the new ones because its annoying as hell.

I have SPC so no experience with icon. I contacted SPC directly though, they verified I ordered through an authorized retailer and the process started. Took about a day to get everything squared away, got a core charge for the new ones, sent old/bad ones back, refund. SPC did send me an entire new UCA minus the ball joint FYI. Not sure if icon would do the same.

Screw it I just bought um.

The store I got them from closed down and I guarantee I didn't keep my receipt. $70 for some quiet I hope.

    Polyurethane bushings I'm assuming?

What grease are you using on them?

If you're not using silicone grease, you should consider trying it.

Uniball or Delta Joint arms? I assume Delta Joints as no mention of Uniballs was made (as they would have also been a likely source of the squeak; as is often the nature of Uniballs)

    Delta Joints.

I've move the joint around by hand when I had the UCA disconnected with no noise but its not bearing any weight then either.

Guess I'll take a look at that as well

Should be good if it’s the delta joint; but doesn’t hurt to rule it out. My ask was more of a, “if you happen to have uniballs, then those are almost definitely the source” kind of thing, lol.

Perhaps the green grease is drying your bushings out over time.

Here's why a silicone based grease is better on poly bushings. It explains how they dry out when using some alternative grease products.

Any recommendations? I only use it because I saw others using it in other threads. I have no problem switching since new bushings are on their way.

Orileys is the closest to me. I see Moly grease but nothing that says silicone.

I would personally use this over the Red and tacky. Red and tacky is lithium based and this one is silicone based with PTFE. It will last longer on poly bushings without eating them.

Yep, this ^^^ a PTFE/Teflon based grease works best on poly bushings. Super lube is the best priced and most readily available of those.

Oddly enough, I've found it at my local Ace Hardware. If you've got an Ace nearby, I'd try there.

Ok well I'm about to throw these ICON POS things in the trash.

    - New bushings drivers side only
    - I used Red N Tacky since NAPA said they had super lube but of course they didn't. And it was recommended by Icon.
    - Lubed the hell out of the bushing before installing
    - Lubed through zerk
    - Tightened to 85 ft/lb with wheels on the ground

The m'fer still squeaks or should I say squeals. And its only the drivers side. Passenger side I didn't change since it doesn't make a single peep.

Any last ditch ideas before I change UCAs? I do notice the ICON emblem on the new bushings and the old ones do not so I'm assuming I got the new ones.

Give it a few more days of driving to see if the squeak starts to disappear before losing all hope; could just need a little break in time. Also, maybe could try some boeshield T9 or Triflow and spray the ends of the arms where bushing meets the coil bucket, and also maybe your lower bushings, just for good measure.

Sorry to hear they're still being a PITA; chasing squeaks can be a persistently annoying choir.

I don't mind a squeak but this is way more then that.

I gotta find someone that will send Boeshield here.
