Last night at the spur of a moment I decided to go camping with my 3 boys in our backyard. Used my Ironman enclosure for the first time:

It is nice. Here are the things I like:
    • I like that each side of the enclosure (4) has a bug net and each side of the enclosure can have their own awning (extra poles needed)
    • The awning doesn’t need to be attached to the truck but could stand on its own with an extra 2 poles
    • The enclosure has a nice thick tarp for the floor. I like that I can remove the floor if I desired
    • The roof is waterproof and practically double layered
    • I thought about getting a RTT. There is not enough space for a family of 6 in there. It was tight with 4 of us
The enclosure part is not tiny. It is pretty big but it is really nice that it is easy to setup and is so capable. I hope that helps and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. I would watch this video if you want to see more.

Did this today. It’s a two stage pull out table. Not at all finished. It is for the overall project of mine that I have been sharing here. Pic of that project included. Hope to finish tomorrow.

I ended up getting mobil 1 75w90 in the tall 1qt bottles with the little spout. Took the spare tire off and was able to squeeze it straight into the diff without using the pump.

Not sure if I can pull off the same with the transfer case and front diff though, so good to know about the squeeze bags.

I looked these up as I really like them, especially the step for wife and one of the comments I read at the dealers site was the method of attaching to vehicle. Do these bolt to the frame or body?

They bolt on to the body not the frame.

8020.com is one place. You can find it elsewhere for less but not necessarily the same selection of components.

Here, I used the 1010 series extrusion. 1010 is the smallest profile they have at 1”x1”... https://8020.net/

There also are a lot of hardwares they provide that you may like to use. The most common tools I use for this are my chop saw, drill press, m6 tap & m5 ball end t-handle. For the m6 tap I just put it in my drill and fire away on the ends of extrusion that need to be tapped, use cutting fluid always for that. 93476074-F9A9-42C0-B515-5BB9398F7B58.jpg

Thanks for that info. I had started the project by gathering information but life gets in the way sometimes. Attached is a pic of what a guy in Spain did. A sliding bed platform. I have an idea to modify his idea since I have a safe in the back as I am not so interested in a sleeping platform as much as I am in a shelf reaching to 2nd row seats.

Another cheap interior LED upgrade done. This time for 2021 4runner TRD Pro. Unedited pic from phone. Need to edit the video to publish on YouTube. I'm happy with the light output of these cheap ones so no interest on expensive options. Screenshot_20211017-143148_Gallery.jpg

    Auxito 194 T10 bulbs (10pack) - map lights and doors - $15.99
    Yorkim 28mm SMD (2pack) - Hood light - $7.99
    Auxlight 31mm SMD (6pack) - Cargo lights - $6.98

Had extra 194 T10 LEDs left for sun visor lights but I was too lazy to change them.

At least it can support 396 lbs. Fridge only weighs 70 lbs.

Changed the oil at 4700 miles. Ended up removing the CarTrimHome skid plate since the hatch they made in the plate doesnt quite line up well with the filter housing.

First attempt at removing the thingy on the bottom of the filter housing was unsuccessful and took off the whole housing, lol. Ultimately got it off and installed the aluminum housing.

    Also installed a Fumoto valve.

Dont have a torque wrench so tightened the thingy on the bottom of the housing until it bottomed out and tightened the housing until it was hand tight and then another quarter turn.

So far I like em! Slightly more noise but not too much and only slightly more bouncy due to E load but on both, completely tolerable. I wanted the most daily driver friendly mud terrain and this was it! Running stock size...LT265/70R17

Oh ok that looks good. He used a different building technique than I did with the 90*’s for assembly. Beware those will ad more cost. Also it looks like he used 40mm x 40mm profile, much larger and more expensive than what I used. I have much experience building with alu extrusion. Hit me up if you need advice or whatever.

I might do this to mine, right now I just take it off, which admittedly is more of a pain then I thought, but not hard.

Some 1/8 inch black ABS plastic might work. A heat gun could be used to form it as needed.
