So when we picked up the 4runner I could have swore (and so did my wife) that there was a way to open the drivers door and then by grabbing the handle again or some shit that you could open the rest of the doors. I know you can change the setting so that when you open the drivers door they all open but I guess it would be nice to have both options. Not just one or the other. Does this make sense? Kind of like pressing the unlock button once for drivers door and twice for all of them. If anyone knows the answer to this I'd appreciate it!

I assume you mean unlock all doors not open all doors….

so yeah to have ALL doors unlock when you pull on the driver or front passengers door handle get in your Runner, shut the door and with the engine OFF take your key FOB and press and HOLD down ALL 3 buttons for like 5 seconds. You’ll hear a beep and a display in your dash of all doors “open” and BAM while you may not get always get what you want, you get what you need for this!

I can just go into a menu on the screen to do that. I was hoping for a two stage process like I said.

Haha. Nah it was late when I wrote it. No worries. The fact that this doesn’t ring a bell means it’s probably not possible. Two stage door opening with the handle basically. Kind of like the remote can with two presses of the unlock button on the fob.

I know this didn't help with the OP's question, but thanks for posting this. I just did it and it worked perfectly.

I don’t understand why anyone with a 2021 just can’t go through the menu and program it that way. That’s what I did. Are you guys doing something differently than that? Or am I just misunderstanding it?

Still new to this vehicle (2 weeks). Is there a menu on the dash, or is it in the media center, for the door lock/unlock? Sorry if a stupid question.

I’m also a newbie to the 4runner so I don’t want to ridicule anyone LOL yeah it’s within the set up menu somewhere on there.
