    Good video on proper gear oil. I wish he would have discussed synthetic vs non synthetic though.

    I think that if you stick with the recommended 30k interval, regular non synthetic would be fine.

    I learned something new about NOT using GL-5 in manual transmissions.

    The OM for my 2006 Tacoma is pretty direct about only using GL4 gear oil in the transmission. Not associated with this company, but Redline MT90 has done pretty well for the last 160k miles changing at 40,000 mile intervals. Transmission still shifts like it did when I got it, and fluid looks almost new when I change it.
