What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Installed the ICS dash mount. I was unsuccessful in being able to pull the wire harness from the 12v so I could hook the USB ports up. I need someone with tiny tiny hands. Lol

Not gonna lie... popping the dash and head unit out and drilling holes was a little stressful but it working out really well.

 

Cracked 20K in 7.5 months this weekend on the way to hockey games

 

Had to repaint my "grill guard" mod. Noticed the paint coming off while power washing bugs the other day. With all the abuse the nose takes, I'm only using 2X (with the separate catalyst" from here on out.

 

Super excited to have the lo pro combo installed today. Couldn’t be more impressed with the install work and special thanks to @Bhouck2309 for reaching out to me and taking on this project. What an absolutely unexpected awesome way to end the weekend!

 

Did you have to install new suspension on the front to carry the new bumper?

 

I re-aimed my headlights today…after the lift and slight leveling, I’ve been getting flashed lots more often.

Also started to de-chrome a bit. I plasti-dipped the horizontal bars on the top grill, and the yota emblems on the centercaps. Also took the centercap garnish rings off.

 

Didn’t have to, but already had. Wheels, tires, and suspension lift were done months ago.

 

77,800 miles.

 

Got the rack light wiring done on the ground and installed the ladder. Still need to wrap the roof and get the rack bolted on.

 

Checked the spare tire and rest assured it was at 45PSI. The door sticker says 32PSI. Max pressure on the tire says 44PSI. Good luck driving with that spare on a summer day.
So much for the PDI at the dealer, that I paid for.

Prepping her for a 2500 mile trip up north.

 

Probably seen this 100 times from others but here it is again, didn't need a oil change but did it anyway. Installed Fumoto drain plug and full RCI aluminum skid plates installed. Couple of things I noticed, RCI put a hole on the cross bar to drain the transfer case but not on the skid plate. Good thing it doesn't need replacing every 7000 miles. Minus a point, would have been nice to have the second plate with higher wings to keep the catalytic converter safe from a sawzall. Minus another point. Overall 8 out of 10 for RCI full skid plates.

 

Continued with my cargo deck drawers system project, phase two. Built and installed the drawer for the right side cabinet, now just need to fab and build a pull out table for that cabinet, have a cool idea for that & hope it works. Once that is all done then on to phase 3 of the project.

 

Nicely done! Have any idea how much it weighs for all of that?

 

Installed my spacer kit today on the wife's runner. She said and I quote... "i thought it was going to look dumb. But I looks neat! I kinda like it." Then she precedes to ask "Can it go higher?" My evil plan is starting to take shape!

Next up is a Pro style front end/grill and emblems painted to match the wheels.

 

Just a guess but I’d say everything there easily less than 100lbs. The diamond plate is pretty thin. The extrusion is 1x1”. I went this way just to be different, besides I know how to build with extrusion anyway. And I knew it would look good.

 

I dreamt about installing the Magnusson Supercharger on my 21 TRD Pro. Does that count? lol

Received my SumoSprings bump stops today and Just got done installing them. Can’t wait to try them out.

Threw some TRD Pro wheels on my wifes SR5. She even had the wherewithal to choose the matte black, since she has the black overlay option. I will throw up some pics though it's hardly anything unique; just a silver runner with black wheels. She loves it though, and I gotta say the slight change in offset (or was it backspacing?) made a surprisingly nice change. We are putting snow tires on the stock wheels so this allows me to just do all the swapping at home. TPMS were moved over from the stock wheels with zero issue. I couldn't believe how cheap these were for a factory item.

Been using this key fob nearly every day for 3 years, just realized this little hole is an LED.

 

I ordered a C4 rear bumper, C4 gas skid, and C4 diff skid plate. Looking forward to no longer having to put the tire on the roof, maxx track boards, and my hi-light. Should bring down my center of gravity a bit.

 

Trip from NY to NC finally hit 10,000 miles. Got it in Feb 2019.
