New UCA's and still have some bumpsteer issues

I love the look of my lift, but today i drove over a speed bump with the left front tire. Whrn my wheel and tire dropped off the speed bump i felt a thud thru the 4runner and had some bump steer
I had installed the bilstein 3 in lift with 5150's and new UCA'S FROM TOYTEC, from what i have read on this forum its supposed to be a touch stiffer but have a better ride and i thought the UCA's took care of the bumpsteer. Has anyone else had or have this problem?

 

I do have a drop diff installed but only put front spacers in and not the rear. I listened to a friend of mine about not necessarily needing to put in the rear ones.
. I had the front end aligned yesterday and the shop said it took them 2 hrs to do it. Not exactly sure of the specs
Does the drop dif kit make that much difference with this issue? I dont know im just asking.

 

Im sorry i was mistaken my buddy put all the spacers in but didnt need the longer bolts to put the skid plate back on. Hr did install the front and rear spacers for the 1 in diff drop kit.

 

Maybe I’m not reading this correctly but a diff drop has nothing to do with alignment/bump steer. Also please explain your “bump steer” symptoms.

oh good, sounds like your car is driving like a car does when it hits a pothole. Hold the steering wheel with both hands. It’s 9 & 3 these days due to the airbag.

If it’s not swerving you have nothing to worry about. A lifted vehicle will feel slightly different than it did from the factory.

 

You may be thinking of the tie rods. Cv axles have nothing to do with steering.

 

A cv axle is merely a “floating” object in the geometric equation of alignment/steering. It’s purpose is to place torque on the road to move the vehicle if in 4wd.

I bet it is more of your alignment shop. I have no bump steer with my SPC's and 5 deg of caster.
Take a pic of your alignment eccentrics on each side and post.

 

Post spec sheet from alignment, I bet there's still not enough positive caster.

 

I installed the 3” leveling from ToyTec, as well as the diff drop and SPC adjustable control arms and I don’t have that issue. I just had it aligned yesterday. I’m glad I was there because he had the passenger side dialed in and was working on the driver side and I noticed the rectangular washer was not seated inside the indentation on the upper control arm. He had to redo the right side after getting the washer seated properly. I don’t know what the end result would have been with the washer not seated properly but I’m sure they have it there for a reason. You can look at yours with the tires on and see if it’s seated.

 

OP did you ever figure this out? Having same issue with my front driver side wheel having a nasty bump steer.
