    So what is this rubber thing that I found next to my gas pedal? It's rubber, and I know it must be some sort of plug that protects maybe cables, but I tried to find where the heck it came from and can't figure out where ... please help, thanksrubber2E.jpg rubber1E.jpg

    I've had a couple of those fall out, too. One on the driver side, one on the passenger.

    Looks like a wire or cable boot at first glance. Like something to keep wires from rubbing on an edge, or to pass through a hole. Maybe see if there is anything like that under the dash?
