    Hi all -

I am looking to purchase a floor jack and have done a little research but wanted to grab some opinions on what you may like or not. I am not familiar with them too much so this was my first choice in getting opinions.

    Thanks!!

I've had my Torin Big Red jack for 11 years without issues. I also have Race Ramps for quick work like oil changes.

I bought the Arcan aluminum three ton jack from Costco on sale. I like it a lot and it seems to be high quality. The only drawback would be if you plan a decent size lift it may not have enough height without adding a block.

For garage use mainly? Lot's of choices, especially if you use it in conjunction with quality jack stands. Thinking safe use here. Or, do you want one you can take on trips - for - away from home emergencies? Much more expensive if weight makes a difference because you'll want to concentrate on finding one made up of mostly aluminum.

Long reach and low profile. They were sued by snapon a couple years ago - shows they have a solid jack design

Arcan also makes solid floor jacks. Costco and Northern Tool used to sell them.

Ive had a daytona for a few years. It does well. No leaks, and it releases smoothly. I just lifted my 4runner about 3 inches, and I was able to get my tires back on, so it’s high enough.

    Doesn't the stock 5th gen weigh 5000lbs = 2.5 ton?

You are not picking up the whole vehicle weight.

But I went with the Arcan 3 Ton my self.

I have the 2.5 ton. Don't know why I said 2.0. Oops. And yeah you only lift half or less of the vehicle at a time. But that is kind of close, maybe a 3 Ton for extra chooch.

Arcan from Costco, but be aware of the lift height on it.

I have this 2.25 ton one from O'Reilly, I like it because it has a motorcycle lift built in. One jack for all my jills, so to speak. It's their house brand (can't recall name). $200 or so when on sale. Seems solid, lifts high, holds fast.
