Anyone have this happen?? Had P0141 last week and then this after a long CA trip.

Now the P0440- EVAP System code..(I did smell a little gas..but now its gone) drove 500 miles, with no problems. Runs great. ????

Question????? Can I delete the CATS? Or at least the rear CAT...this is where it keeps blowing (Just installed a new sensor 2 weeks ago) Not sure what that will do to the emissions system.

P0440 has nothing to do with the 02 sensor. You have a separate problem. You can clear the code and it will probably go away for many miles. If it's like mine was, after a few years it will start to come back immediately after clearing. There is a leak somewhere in the evap system. Could be anywhere from the valve in the gas tank to its gasket to the charcoal canister and everywhere in between. It won't affect engine performance.

Did you install a TOYOTA 02 sensor? Anything other than an OEM sensor will give you headaches.

I get an A/F sensor error (my rig doesn't have 02 sensors) after long trips. I reset it and it's gone for years. Seems like many people can get an O2 or A/F sensor error after driving long trips.

Negusm is correct. It’s likely a leak at the tank. I had the same code and replaced these parts about 10K miles ago. So far, so good.

You could try the cheaper option of replacing the gas cap first.

These are the parts that you’ll likely need:
    • Check Valve Gasket - Toyota (77177-33010)
    • Check Valve - Toyota (77390-35010)
    • EVAP canister Hose Sub-Assembly Fuel - Toyota (77404-35010)

Thank you for the part information. I appreciate it.
