Saw this 2022 4runner trd sport in lunar rock with the trd wheels. It actually looks nice.. I don’t like the limited front but I’m liking how it looks with the lunar rock color and trd wheels. What do you guys think?

Lol. That's why I got a white one, all trims have is so it is too common to care about being unique. Wife also likes the color, so was a no brainer... But have to say, lunar rock and the lime rush look really nice.

On another note. I was thinking does Toyota even listen to customers when introducing a new trim? So many Limited owners (including myself) change the minivan wheels to suv wheels and still Toyota introduced TRD Sport trim with minivan wheels?

Needless to say about that low hanging front bumper. I don't know why the Limited even has 4wd low range with that bumper. I think H4L is enough.

I'm not digging that front end.

Looks to me like it lost some approach angle?

Id rather get a Lunar Rock OffRoad than the Sport.

    Wheels are easy to change.

That fugly front end is not as easy.

Towards the end of a model run, Toyota loves to rename, re-badge, and rebrand, this is only made worse by dealers who will take advantage of that.

If I recall correctly this is a limited with a color from the TRD pro that someone put TRD wheels on?

As far as I know this TRD Sport has part time 4wd from SR5 (electronic shift knob for 2h, 4h, 4l) + Body panels, wheels, tires, XREAS suspension from Limited.

It seems the trd sport is made for street and light off-roading…

Yeah, the Sport is a street-based 4runner. That's how Toyota is marketing them.

It actually looks pretty nice with the normally chromed pieces on the Limited in body color on the TRD Sport

When all their pricing says "Call us for price" you might as well buy a TRD pro because they're gonna charge you close to it lol and then add their wheel and tire package :spending:

Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

The 2wd/4hi/low knob next to the shifter is absent on that truck in the video. What’s going on here.

Does the 'call for price' bs really equate to more sales for a dealership? Always wondered this.

It’s funny because I’ll never get the passive aggressive troll of this sentiment. I have a lunar pro. I love that they brought the color over for 22 in other trims. If they brought it for the pro, I’d have traded in my 21 for it. I’d also have loved if voodoo blue came back too. I guess being on the East Coast though helps as I rarely see 4runners let alone a pro of any kind but I make sure every time I do, I give a thumbs up or let the, know how awesome their rig is. :)

Original: Claremont Toyota also has a mandatory $798 doc fee. lol.
Edit: Actually it's Clermont Toyota in FL that has that fee. My bad.

I think the TRD Sport in Lunar Rock is an odd choice. I am not sure how that body color paint will last on the bumper trim

Is it dock like a fishing pier or doc like a contract? Either way, we know we’re being milked. I’m just curious.

I believe it's the landing fee........as in the cost to import them into the US. Could be wrong as I've never actually questioned it.

And I thought that was a charge for all 4Runners. Is that not the case?

Unfortunately we sometimes underestimate the greed level of dealers. The one I referred to adds a $798.50 "bs" fee on top of destination fees, that you pay to them for facilitating the sale. That said, when I inquired about paying cash from out of state, they weren't interested. Too much paperwork.

Not even going to lie, it looked really good from the back and then I saw the front. But to be honest if you like it, can afford it, and they're not charging an arm and a leg, just get it. Who cares what anybody else thinks

Yeah, it's kind of silly, but trolls can't help their troll selves. I have a Lunar Pro too, and I wouldn't give a flying f--k if they made the color standard on every trim level. I picked it because I liked it better than the other options, and I don't worry about what other people drive.

I do like the body color of the the rear hatch handle/mechanism cover on this Sport -- looks better than the black one on mine.
