    That makes sense. I’ve been saying for years now that it is ridiculous that there are unique platforms for North America from the global standard. Especially since these vehicles share a lot of parts.

    Hopefully they won’t be garishly ugly like the international models currently are.

    I just hope they go off of the Hilux and not make the rest of the world downgrade to the US version

    The outward appearance will still be unique for each general region.

    It's the frame, suspension, and other components that will be shared globally.

    They already do that for the most part.

    With this TNGA-F platform Toyota is trying to put all body on frame vehicles on the same frame. Obviously they will lengthen and shorten, widen and narrow the frame based on the particular vehicle. They try to share frames in the past, but it often ends up where a few vehicles share a frame and a few others share another frame. This will be across Toyota's entire body on frame line.......globally. It'll save them a ton of money in the long run, but don't expect a Tacoma to look like a Hilux. They will still look different.
