Wheel locks pre-installed from the Toyota factory??

I have a 2022 TRD Sport on order. The dealer cost estimate has a “packages and accessories” section that appears (to me) to be a mix of factory options (technology package) and dealer installed options (wheel locks, LED fog lights, floor liners).

The sales person insists the wheel locks, LED fog lights, floor liners are Factory Installed, and cannot be modified.

I think the sales person is misinformed. The 2022 Sport comes stock with LED foglights

Can anyone confirm if Toyota ships vehicles from the factory with wheel locks?

 

That sales person is an idiot. The factory doesn't even install the TRD wheels on a Pro - why would they install wheel locks? That's why those are listed as a dealer installed option.

 

Thanks. The sales guy was completely clueless with regard to factory versus dealer options. I cancelled my order and went with another dealership.


Here are some funny quotes copied from email with the sales person:

"Yes sir, locks nearly always come with wheels like the ones on this unit since they have a higher likelihood of being stolen compared to standard wheels that come on a 4runner."

"We do not apply wheel locks unless its at the request of the customer if they dont already come with the vehicle from the factory."

"All packages and components noted on the spec sheet I shared are installed at manufacturing and come with your vehicle; we do not install any of them at the dealership. "

 

You seem to be a truly kind and generous person to characterize the sales person in such a manner.

 

The last line has the most truth to it, most add ons are put on at port.
