Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
    :amen:

Building up natural immunity is one of the hills where we're going to find a lot of dead and broken bodies. It's statistically close to Russian Roulette on the broken bodies end of things.

I'm going to bow out of this topic because I don't want to get pissed off at everyone and get into a flame war. I just hope everyone does what's right for society as a whole, even if it's not a perfect solution. Peace!

I’m glad we have that freedom to express our views. I’m in the category that has had covid already. I also hold my religious values very close to my heart which is why I would not and could not take this vaccine which used aborted fetal cells in the development, confirmation, and production. I think if someone wants to take the vaccine, I will respect their views. If they don’t want to take the vaccine, I will also respect their views. The beautiful thing is this is America where we have constitutional rights and are endowed with our God given freedoms.

Thank you for this reminder. Here is some information that addresses the issue of fetal cells in the development of the covid vaccines.

Concerning natural immunity, it wanes just as vaccine induced immunity. In anywhere from 6 months to a year. That’s why the advice is for everyone to get the vaccine. And why boosters are being considered.

I’m looking forward to the booster. Any short term discomfort is better than the risk of full blown covid.

For real! I think the only plant Toyota said that won't be affected is the San Antonio plant which will be in full production.

Herd immunity being tried & failed with Covid-19

While most countries went into lockdown as Covid-19 spread rapidly across the world, Sweden took a different approach and allowed the controlled spread of coronavirus among the population in attempts to achieve herd immunity.

They relied on individuals to be responsible, so, social distance would slow the spread of the disease, this decision has been a failure and disaster.

It is clear that not only the rates of a viral infection, hospitalization and mortality (per million population) is much higher than those seen in neighboring Scandinavian countries.

When most of a population is immune to an infectious disease, this provides indirect protection (herd immunity) to those who are not immune to the disease by acting as a safeguard against further population infection surges. This is how vaccines can be effective without 100% population coverage.

Automotive chips generally are an older technology that chip makers aren’t willing to invest money in to expand production. Not enough ROI.
This is probably why some auto makers like Tesla and Toyota have been making some of their chips in house for years.
But it seems Toyota exhausted it’s stockpile recently and will be cutting auto production.

So, there are basically millions of vehicles missing from the new vehicle market in the US. This is causing new prices to not only rise, but used car values to explode, as well. These guys are saying that things are going to get even worse.

Coming from a criminal justice background, I can see auto thefts increasing quite a bit as well. It would be unfortunate to live in an area with already high auto theft rates. Might be wise to take some precautions to prevent vehicle theft.

Although the general trend is toward weaker viruses, it is not absolutely true.

You only have look as far as the 2nd wave of the 1918 Flu Pandemic and the 2013 Sierra Leone Ebola outbreak to see real life examples of virus mutations that were stronger than the original.

It is not the usual trend (which is probably why humans are still alive) but it is not completely unknown either.

    What a depressing video. :(

Hey, I've got a wild and crazy idea, why don't car manufacturers go back to building cars that don't require advanced computer systems to run?

I'd be first in line to buy one.

Just another example of how all of us have become to dependent on modern technology.

As much as I’d like to see it, I don’t think it’s possible with all the regulations today.

Yes, your right. Modern engine controls need computer control. But why we need computers to run the lights, environmental and windows is simply overkill.

Just had my HVAC repaired and they tried to sell me a WiFi controller at several hundred dollars. I assured them I haven't reached the point of laziness where I couldn't get off the couch and walk 10 feet to adjust the thermostat. ;)

Time to buy stock in aftermarket parts manufacturers and retailers. Glad I have two of the most reliable vehicles in history.

    Yes, that's my concern too!

Yet another reason to not monkey with the electrical system.

Add to all these the fact that electric and hybrid vehicles have way more chips than internal combustion engine ones, I am curious how hard will be to get an electric/hybrid versus the other ones. Side note, speaking about hybrids, interesting how they configured TRD Pro Tundra...
