    2005 4Runner Sport Edition V8
Hello all. Just signed up here after buying my first T4R, this 2005 Sport Edition V8. Starting small, cheap, and easy, but hoping I can do bigger mods eventually, mostly thinking about a moderate lift, larger tires that might handle snow and dirt equally well, auxiliary lighting inside and out, improved clearance with bumpers/skid plates, etc. Might remove a lot of the interior trim and build some custom cargo retention and camping improvements. Bicycles and the occasional climbing trip are my thing, so some quiet and compact tool and gear storage is primary. Got the hitch rack on it immediately.

So far all I've done personally is replace the disgusting ashtray/12v lighter assembly the previous owner left for me, some burnt lights in the climate control console, and the passenger side view mirror I smashed before I got used to the size of the truck. Haha. I had a proper mechanic do the timing belt and water pump since there was no record of replacement (165k currently), as well as one torn axle boot and both UCAs for the worn bushings. Unfortunately the UCAs were just replaced with stock, but I plan to research what kind of lift I can accomplish with those, since they're brand new. Truck came with Michelin Defenders, which are fantastic on pavement, wet or dry, 97% of what we have here. Knobbies will come later.
