Looks Great! What Mods did you have to do to the front end once you put in the Lift? Did you get a alignment? If you used the Lift Kit you referred too did you have to use the Front Diff drop?

What size tires did you go with?

 

Thanks. I'm picking up mine next week and the first thing I'm doing is a lift and tires. I'm back and forth between 275/70/R17 and 285/70/R17

 

From what I've read, 275's are the largest I can go to guarantee I won't have any rubbing.

 

The plan is to do a 3" lift so maybe I will go with the 285's. Thanks for the advice.

 

Did you lift the rear at all?? Recently got a '16 TEP w/KDSS and have been reading about the adjustable track bar that is needed...

 

Do you wheel it or just the street??

Havik, I'm getting my toytec lift installed next week and going with the 285/70/r17 BFG KO2's. You indicated that you don't have any rubbing with a similar setup, but did you have to do any mods to get to that point?

 

I have the same rig with a 3/2 Ready lift. Speaking to the Toyota parts, they suggested going to an 18" rim with the 285s. Said the stock 17 are too narrow and wear faster, mushier in turns, etc. I would think the 18 might ride better but not sure I see much down side to stock rims. The rims are 7.5" which is within the spec of the 285.

 

Awesome rig Havik! I'm looking to do the same suspension on my '16. Did you upgrade your UCA's?

 

Did you notice any difference after you lifted it? I know when I lifted my Tacoma it felt like it was "skating". It felt like I was on ice skates.

 

how do the billys ride? I want the king but 4k is pretty expensive and your lift is perfect.
