When i turn on my A/C not only does it not turn on, but no power is going to it whatsoever. The lights don't even come on. Everything else in the dash from dash lights to radio to glove box light come on but not the a/c.....anyone have any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

No I have yet to figure it out...ive done all the fuses and relays and still no luck. Trying to avoid taking it to a mechanic just cause they are outrageous on prices

Also some A/C systems have a pressure switch and if there is not enough Freon in the system the compressor clutch will not engage.

Then it's a power issue, either a switch or relay.....

you have an A/C switch on the environmental panel? It could be worn out.

It's a 94' right.....There has to be a schematic online somewhere.....let me do some digging.

Above is the schematic from a 1995 4Runner should be the same. I see 4 fuses and several switches that can be checked. Remember Google is your friend and so is youtube in helping locate common problems if it is a common problem.

My bet is it is the switch. If the light isn't coming on it has to be that. I took mine apart and I know the light is a diode, not a conventional light bulb, so it shouldn't burn out. You can find the switch on ebay (little pricey) or at a junkyard. Just gotta do some searching

Can I suggest you short the switch leads together and see if the rest of the system works before you buy a switch?

Shorting would be difficult. You don't have a wiring harness that plugs into the button. Instead you push the button into a recessed hole that is about 1.5-2 inches deep. Switches are cheap enough where its a decent start. Worst case scenario you have an extra switch for cheap

Check the 15A fuse below the glove compartment.
