    Hey guys/gals,

I inquired about a ceramic job on new 4Runner plus 2 tinted windows only on driver and passenger side front. My quote was 1500. Is that the norm? Just checking as I know I can buy the kit obviously get advice from you tube there are wonderful instructional videos. I don’t mind the work but is this a steep price? Just want to know from those that paid to have it done and if it’s worth it. Thanks in advance.

When I was looking it was anywhere from $700-$2500.
Depends on prep work and their annual maintenance services/ how long they guarantee it for

That sounds a bit high. I had my windshield and driver and passenger done for about $600.

    All of them.
When I had mine quoted it was 2700 for the coating with a 5 yr warranty that was not including the window tint.

I bet you can get more details from members if you have separate pricing for ceramic coating and tinting. So people can share the pricing they paid for ceramic coating job and tint job.

I have paid (if i can remember correctly) $300ish for 2 front windows with 3M Crystalline tint. and $140ish for 2 front windows with 3M obsidian tint. I think I paid $300 for the front windshield with 3M Crystalline tint.

How much paint correction is needed? Think i did mine for $400.00. Took me two full days. Lots of steps go into it, not just applying the coating.

not bad. It’s a lot of work. Just decide if it’s worth it to you. Wasn’t for me.

I just hit 1k miles I would hope not a lot of correction is needed. The process does look tedious.

I chose to buy a griot’s machine and quality products. I don’t think ceramic is all that great.

You would be surprised. Rail dust, needs to be removed along with any waxes that may have been applied. I wouldn't/didn't pay someone else to do it and it's not the wizardry that it's sold as. I will probably just do the glass and rims in the future and stick to normal waxes and sealants.

That sound like a fair price. I got my nightshade Ceramic coated the day after I purchased it. Paid 1690 after taxes. They clay-barred it had to to do a small amount of paint correction because the wash at the dealer was crappy. They put a 5 year coating on it, used Scorpion CMX. Full body + lights + windows + wheels. They told me to avoid rain and sprinklers for 36-48 hours and then do not wash it for 2 weeks while it coating finishes hardening. After that it should be good to go. They recommend every other month that I use a ceramic quick detailer. We will see if it's worth it. It definitely looked great when I picked it up and supposedly washing it will be pretty easy as dirt and grime should just slough off with a light foam application and a power wash.

I got a quote fro my 2014 GTI a while back and it was 2200...700 for the ceramic coating, and 1500 for paint correction (it needs a lot of work).
