Help with tire selection. Considering BFG, Continentals...

The last thing I need to get ordered for the new 4Runner is tires. I'm going with the FN pro Wheels and I'm looking to run 255 75 17s. I'm open to any suggestions and information right now I was considering BFG all terrains that would be a c load or Continental terrain contact but that would be an SL I'm a little out of my wheelhouse on this topic so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

This is a bit of a Ford vs Chevy debate, but I only buy BFG All Terrains for my vehicles that are going off road. They are a great compromise of off-road aggression and on-road noise levels. And, I've got around 50,000 miles for every set I've owned.

Keep in mind, 255's are basically a 10" wide tire, so make sure the wheels you get have the appropriate width. (ie, IMO, don't get a 10" wide wheel for a 10" wide tire)

 

I've use Continental terrain contact A/T in the past. I noticed they don't have 3peak mountain snow flake rating. Too bad I haven't had a chance to compare KO2 and Continental terrain contact A/T on the same vehicle. But I have a feeling KO2 would perform better in winter conditions.

 

Just found 4 BFG Ko2 at a good price. 255/75...... So I popped on them

 

I just bought Generals for my 06 Tacoma 265/75/16 10ply from Tire Buyer on eBay they came in 3 days one looked a little odd on inside called them and they sent a new one I got that one in 2 days they picked up the other one at the same time 750 for 4 and they were made 5 weeks before I bought them so they were fresh tires. I would buy from them again. And I work at a shop so better prices then from my work.

 

Well I'm back in the market....Looks like Walmart has some 3rd party scam issues with tire sales. This hopefully won't be a fight to stop the charge/ payment
