    Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to the runner community but I'm hoping I can get some help from some 4runner owners.

My undercarriage looks like a war zone of fluids. I got a 2000 SR5 vehicle back in February 2021 with 250,000 miles on it. Previous owner did state there MAY be a small leak in the oil pan but he had not looked into it further. However you crawl under it now and there is visible fluid everywhere.

So far I've only replaced the alternator and drive shaft. I've also cleaned he throttle body due to my car idling rough at a dead stop (at a red light) and shutting off whilst sitting there. This is still an issue but it is not shutting off any more as of right now.

I will attach pictures as soon as I can.

Usually the valve cover gaskets, grommets on back of the head, and the rings sealing the spark plug tubes will leak first. They tried to tell me something on the axle was leaking “let me get you a price”. Ha, took it to the dealer had them do the valve cover gaskets, and some exhaust work I didn’t ask for but hey.

As SR5 said, I just replaced all that on my 97, had a leak at cam shaft plugs that ended up being my issue...
