Hi All, first post here!! I have a stock 2021 4Runner SR5 4wd. My wife would like it lifted for aesthetics. I have decided on the billstein 5100's. When I measure and I think I'm doing it right, there's is a 1.5" stock rake. If I install the billsteins at the 1.75" clip, add 1 inch rear coils, can I fit 285's on there. Or do I need to do the full 2.5" with 1.5" in the rear so there is .5" rake. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW my wife drives the truck to the store and kids to school. Never seen a sort road

Depends if you stick with stock wheels. Might need to do a little trimming if anything.

I was looking at the same size wheels but getting new ones. Which lift would work 1.75 or 2.5 on the front?

Realistically you could put them on stock height. Lifting isn’t much of a factor as much as wheel fitment and alignment. If you go 2.5” then you risk possibly needing upper control arms to dial your alignment in.

I'd stick to 1.75" if you're not doing uca's. Like @Mtbpsych mentioned, it's more about alignment and wheel offset. Have your alignment shop give you the most caster possible while keeping toe and camber in spec. And look into the fender liner mod. Don't go with a big negative offset wheel, either.

    bridgestone revo 3 5100's @2.5/1.5. Stock springs & rear daystar 1.5" spacers
You can go the full 2.5 in front......rear id go for daystar 1.5 inch spacers. This will give you some rake still. I went thru all of this nonsense and misinformation on my last 4 runner. First I went .85 up front because of the MYTH that you preload the coils at anything higher. Then i said screw it and adjusted the fronts to 2.5 and installed the rear spacers. I come from driving sports cars so i am sensitive to any change even small. felt exactly the same at 2.5 as it did at .85

Took it to Toyota for an alignment and it handled fine...no dartyness or anything strange like that. Went on many road trips and off-roading with 4 adults and the rear loaded with shit. it never sagged, bounced, and it handled it like a champ. i was only running stock size in bridgestone revo 3's. FYI Loaded down it never went to reverse rake and still handled awesome off-road.

Ran it for 70k miles like that. Zero issues and no wear on the shocks.

    Hope this helps.

2.5/1.5 you will have a hair over a 1" rake. I suggest keeping the stock springs that way it doesn't change the ride and the wife hates it. Just saying. it will also eliminate any lean issues. FYI when you measure height before and after make sure you have it on flat ground and put it in park and do not engage the e-brake!!!!! at least until you are out of the runner. if you don't you will get a false reading thinking that the driver front has lean when in fact the parking brake is causing binding. releasing the e-brake you will get a different reading and the correct one for that matter.
