The MPG display indicates that with the factory 265 Dunlops I was getting 20.6 mpg. With the 275/70/17 Falken Wildepeaks it has dropped to an even 19.0. Mostly country/interstate driving.

I have a 2013 SR5 on stock suspension. Is your friend using spacers? Id like to get 275's on the TRD wheels and in a few weeks drive from Dallas to Austin to get my lift kit on. Ive been wondering if I can pull that off or if ill have to do it all at the same time.

The 2010-2013 bumpers are different, they’re a lot bigger in the front so I’m not sure. Do you have the off road or pro wheels? I would guess the off road wheels should fit the tires but the pros would be questionable. And no he is not using spacers.

I had 2 pair of General Grabbers (295/70r16) on my LandCruier. Kept them @42 psi and rotated every 10k miles. I got 125k miles on the first set and another 110k on the second (all road/highway miles).

    Best tires I've EVER owned.

Anyone have experience with the LT tires compared to the Passenger or SL A/t tires? Love to know if I'm making to much about wanting to go with a 275 C load by Falken over 285 P-metric Standard load, which Id rather not, cause of the trimming the rubbing and possible BMC. 275's would be perfect if made in a passenger, but obviously not a perfect world.

Hows the drive? Noticeable difference from switching from stock tires?

We have LT's, they seem to work just fine. I care about the added toughness against rocks and such. There are some 275's in lighter ratings, not many though.

If you might know of 275/70/17 that is lower than a C, would you please share that info or a link? I feel I've looked everywhere, but definitely could've overlooked something.

    Thanks

Probably the best place to find out about the tires is the websites of various manufactures. Or, a search on this website, tons of info in the forum!

275/70-17 Nitto TG2's on 17x9 Fuel wheels. 2" front, 1" rear spacer lift. Very minor rub before the lift, none after. MPG stayed around 18.5-19.

Here is a great list for tire sizes with associated mods ( if any) that are needed. Keep in mind it doesnt consider the vehicle being lifted, which will help to a point before fender liners, BMC or viper cuts need to be done....

Looks great. C rated? How much trimming do you think you’ll need after the spacer?

Zero since it was just a 1" suspension spacer not wheel spacer.

So you don't rub at full lock with the 275's? No trimming of the fender plastic?

I have the mudflap removed so I'm not sure if they would have rubbed on those.

Bringo, I've had "P" rated Toyo AT3s on another vehicle & hated them. Really soft, felt sloppy when cornering. Look for ways to offset the weight by going w/ a lighter wheel & stay w/ C-rated tires(given the weight of the 4runner). 255/75/17 which is also a 32 inch tire having lower weight C-rated tires that are closer to stock
