    None.

To be honest, I really don't see how this statement angered so many people. I wasn't being rude to anyone just venting my frustration. The only part I could have left out without taking away from getting my point across is "I hate it" and I have admitted that I should have chosen better words.

    Maybe next time...

"I bought a 2021 4runner about 4 months ago. I noticed a shake in my steering wheel at times and it seems to be when I am accelerating and turning at the same time. Is this sort of thing normal for a 4runner? I took it to the dealer because I thought it would be a tire balance issue and they can't duplicate it. Is it just me?"

Man, I’ve been looking at those for weeks now. 2010-2013 models. I got rid of my 4Runner because I also got more money, but I got an RX350 (I know that I’m probably the only non-geriatric male driving one). Anyways, there are a few things that I like about it, but there were a few things that I really liked with the 4Runner that it doesn’t have. GX seems like if a 4Runner and RX350 had a kid.

*edit* I don’t know why there is a kiss face haha.

To the OP, I can offer this about suspension. I got an SR5 and the front suspension is horrible regarding nose diving and the overall stock suspension equates to bad body roll.

I upgraded to Kings with Toytec HD rear springs and it was night and day difference on every aspect, especially body roll. My front King springs are 550s and I wish I had upgraded to 600s. I still get a little too much nose dive for my liking, especially under quick braking. I eventually plan on putting 600s, however I anticipate losing my "better than stock" ride up front, which is a fair trade off to me.

I'm not saying you need to buy Kings. I'm just saying that, in my experience, 600 pound springs are a better option up front over 550s no matter what brand you choose if you decide to swap out springs.

I bet 550 springs would absorb bumps and poth holes better on-road vs 600 or 700s?

Yea shock valving is going to be more beneficials than springs when it comes to nosedive and comfort, unless you have a steel bumper and winch and you're not holding up the weight properly.

If you don't like nosedive, look up digressive shocks vs the progressive shocks. They start stiffer and soften up. Examples are Bilstein, Eibach, Icons.

My front Kings ride much better than stock for "on road" driving regarding bumps and pot holes, along with not creating too great of an angle for the CV joints...plus a lot of "drop" for articulation. They gave me around 2.5 - 3" of lift with around 7 (ish) threads of pre-load on the top collars. I want exactly what I have with more "stifness", which I think the 600# will supply. We shall see.

Just drove a pilot couple weeks ago and I thought it was a dog compared to the runner.
I read about the shake before I bought my runner, it’s been happening for years now. sorry if it’s been said but it’s the tires. My test drive on my 19 runner shook. Salesman said normal and I laughed at him. He had 2 identical Runners so I drove the second on the exact same road and same speed conditions and drove great so I bought it. Salesmen was baffled.
Last 2 runners were fine on the 1st test drive so just bought them

Because you DARED to speak ill of the sacred 4Runner. Blasphemy!!! Never has a more perfect vehicle set a tire upon this earth!

    JK, LOL

(Toyota owners are a sensitive bunch)

I have a weird relationship with mine. I'm not a Toyota guy, I bought it because it checked off a number of boxes. I'll probably never buy another one, at least a few times a week I think to myself "I hate this frickin thing" (mainly when the motor is struggling to climb any sort of grade), but I like it enough to not quite want to get rid of it. I bought mine used a few years ago, and at this 20k-ish price point (approx current value), there's really nothing else that will check off the boxes that I'd trust to be reliable. As long as I can keep the frame from rotting out from underneath it, I expect this thing to last at least another 10 years.

Post your thoughts of the Pedal Commander, I'm curious of your impressions of it.

In the motorcycle world it all depends on the valving and end users riding preference. Heavy springs with lighter compression/heavier rebound stacks or lighter springs with heavy compression/lighter rebound stacks.

I prefer heavy springs that ride higher in the stroke and have them tuned to be plush throughout most of the travel.

I'm using mine on sport 3 settings City & Freeway. Off-Road I shut it off. Rain in the City sport 1. Taking in consideration my tire size 285/70/17. With 265/70/17 I would drive in City mode 3 or 4. The transition between gears is much smoother both ways up & down shifting, lag is gone. For me, the question remains why Toyota never did this to begin with, the difference is significant; not a gimmick. For me worth the money.

I think OP will be pleased.

That's what I'm looking for on mine. I really dislike the lag, as well as the feel of the throttle pedal. I don't like that dead spot halfway through the travel that seems to do nothing other than summon a downshift(s).

I'm looking forward to hearing the OP's impression of it, because there's a huge power difference coming from the Ram to the 4Runner, and he's obviously displeased with it. I'm curious if this will make him not hate it anymore. IMO that would be a terrific endorsement, haha.

Yeah, makes a difference opening the throttle body faster according the mode you select, you don't gain HP or torque. IMHO It's a nice improvement.
