So my wife got back from a trip today and I hopped in her 4Runner and hit the home button. She has it setup with three windows. whatever doesn't matter. Anyways i noticed in the background behind the three windows the navigation is active or whatever you want to call it. It's tracking the movement of the car anyways as it normally would when you hit the map button. Is this always back there? I swear I didn't notice it before. If you can change it, can you tell me how? It's driving me insane.

I suspect so, yes. It was one of the oddities that I noticed also when I picked up my 5th gen. Can't say that I know how to change that. Sorry, can't be of more help.

So, I just do what I did when my first car did something odd or made a weird noise.. turn up the radio.
