Yeah, I bet. I also have to remove my ditch lights because VA inspection. I find it ridiculous but, VA is slow to update stupid/antiquated laws...

Thanks! I got it from Amazon - I used a birthday gift coupon that was getting old. And, since you've had your blackout-tip longer than I, yours is now broken in and you're probably getting more like 3-5 HP!

Well, my 4Runner is finally armored up from front to rear! I finally got the RCI Rear Diff skid installed today. This one was pretty straightforward thankfully (unlike that damn T-Case skid...). Biggest problem was that some of the bolts were rather difficult to get in there in order to tighten them down.

I also got the shipping notification for my CaliRaised sliders. I might actually have these before we go on our trip! :yay:

May be because I'm a small guy T-Case was not much difference from other skids. Is it the cross member bolts that are hard to reach?

I don't know why Toyota didn't make it an option. Maybe safety reasons :notsure:
I think this is more useful.

My biggest problem with the t-case skid was that hardly anything wanted to line up properly for some reason. Especially the cross member. I finally got it, but, it was in doubt at times. This rear diff skid was just because couldn't really get my hands into some of those tighter areas for tightening down the nuts. *laughs* I came out from this install looking like I'd played Bloody Knuckles and lost miserably.

I have Carista. There's only an option to open the windows with the key fob. If you insert the key into the door, you can open and close the windows, and sunroof, if linked. Carista can't link/unlink the sunroof to the windows.

The wife moved on to a bigger vehicle so I decided to keep the 4Runner in the family.

I have a 19. Only limited models (maybe Pro?) had push start for that year. I only have keyhole on the driver's door, and the hatch. I think all trims for 2020+ are push start now. You should have an emergency key in your fob, so there must be a keyhole :notsure: No idea if Toyota omitted operating the windows with the key because of this though.

Got the lights ready for the next camping trip this weekend. Golabs 300 with Home Depot wires and Amazon 5w led bars. With the loss on a 9ft wire we are at 12w in total, good for 25hrs. 100w solar panels came in today. Lights galore !

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Had the in tank fuel pump recall done at the dealer Monday. Dropped it off at 11am and picked it up at 5. No issues with my Shrockworks rock sliders. They only had to remove 1 bolt from the slider / gas tank strap.

Saw my salesman and he commented, "I should've known that was your 4Runner out in the parking lot with the pinstripes all over it. I was thinking Damn! That needs a buff job."

More off roading on Sunday. Couple fun videos:

I know, worthless without pictures.. but the dealer called to say the parts for my lift/level and airbags have arrived. Dropped the 4R off this AM for the install and alignment being done at DSI. Then it comes back to the dealer for TSS and speedo verification/calibration. I may have it back by Friday.

    If I understand correctly;

    1. A 4x4 shop called "DSI" is installing a lift and airbags on rear to your 2021 Venture
    2. Toyota dealership is doing a re-calibration to your Toyota Safety Sense and Speedo meter?

Please post details when done, I'm very interested because one of the Toyota dealership I called said they do not do Toyota Safety Sense re-calibration for after market lift install.

Yes, on both #1 and #2. I'll be happy to post a follow-up when it's finished.

FYI, DSI (Dealership Services International) is in partnership with many dealers (mine included). Google the full name and check out their website. I did not post the link as I'm not 100% if forum rules allow it.

I went this route (through the Toyota dealership) to ensure that my factory & extended warranty was not affected (and TSS & Speedo calibrations were performed after install - if required). They brought this up from the start without my having to ask.

No matter how serious anybody is into off roading, I cannot connect with so much mud, if any, inside the vehicle!!
THAT, is just stupid, with no concern about value!!
OH WOW!, I'm a BA** off roader... Gimme a break!

It will clean out. She likes mud.

As I was leading the last part of the trail ride, I'd call out over my radio "Puddle!" She'd then slow down and give those in front of her room, so she could blast through the puddle.

I got a laugh out of it. Making broad generalizations, that's the difference between a country girl and a city girl. A country girl is not afraid to get dirty.
