    Hey all, starting my build thread. This is a 2016 trail. So far, this is what i've got;

    Gobi rack
    Black Oak LED single bar
    President CB

    upcoming-
    BP-51 suspension
    Dobson t-13 coils
    BF Goodrich 275\70\r17

Here's some pics from when I got her new. That's my old tacoma. It felt like I was dumping a puppy at the shelter.

Looks good so far  Looking forwards to seeing it with the suspension upgrades.

Is that the no rise Gobi rack? Did you get the crossbars to tie the SUP down?

Yes, it is. I knew I only wanted a single row light bar, and it throws plenty of light. I did get the cross bars. Originally it was for an RTT and they ended up getting used for the SUP instead.

    Right on!

Best looking rack for the 4Runner, IMO. I also like the functionality of having both a basket rack and a flat rack (low-rise option).

I'll be getting one myself eventually. I should probably put an order in now if I want to get it by early next year. lol

Dude, you ain't kidding. They told me 12 weeks. I want to say 5 1\2 months later it came. The wait was worth it, it's an amazing rack. But the wait will make you think twice thats for sure.

So, update. The shipment came late, meaning I missed the shop appointment, so My friend and i took a go at it. The struts come set for a bumper and winch, I have neither, so it took us three trips to the store to get the right spring compressor, which ultimately scratched the springs down to the metal. When we finally got this set right, we couldn't get the lower linkage undone no mater how hard we hit it. SOOOO Here i am at the beginning of a 3 week road trip to canada without the suspension I specifically ordered for the trip. It's sitting in my living room and will be put on when I get back. The rims and tires look great though.

How do i fix rubbed down spring coating....uhg.

I have BP 51's. And it wasn't to replace them, it was set the pre load lower. But it already happened.

POR15?? Then Fluid Film yearly? I don't know :notsure: but where did you buy the suspension from? I know it's too late now, but Usually the place you buy it from can set it for you where you want it. At least Wheelers will do this.

An what do you mean by "lower linkage"? Pics?

I ordered through wheelers but they had the fronts dropped shipped from ARB. I'll figure something out. As for now, My trip is turning our sweet. I'll post some pics when i get a chance!

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. The truck is at the shop as I type this and I should have pics by tomorrow. I ended up not getting it on before my trip, but did find out how capable this truck is without suspension upgrades. I was impressed. Here’s some pics from the trip. I’ll post pics of the truck with the lift on tomorrow

Thanks Nimby! I’m pretty psyched right now. That suspension has been sitting in my house for for almost 5 weeks with me just drooling over how it’s gonna be to drive the damn thing with it on!!!

New parts have a tendency to do that to people.

I'd go crazy with a brand new suspension set-up sitting in my garage and no time to put it on. :frustrated:

Sorry for the really late reply. I don’t know what you mean by what notch. The bop-51’s use a MM measurement from the the top of the spring holder to the top thread. Mine is set a 5mm so that equals about 3 exposed thread rotations. Hope this helps
