Picked up some bolts and finally got the side rails installed. Sadly, I had to get creative as only three out of six bolts worked per side. It's not the prettiest, but, I've got them on solidly and securely.

Aside from the install being a bit of a nightmare at times. I really do like the look of this roof rack and I'm happy to finally have it installed. Just in time for our upcoming vacation, thankfully.

Just wondering...you guys/gals with roof racks. How do you wash and wax the roof?

Take it to my detail guy. Tell him to wash and wax. Emphasize the roof.

In what way did only 3/6 bolts work per side - like the threaded holes did not line up properly?

They all lined up nicely, thankfully. The threaded section on the cross rail where the sides bolt to them appear to be a separate piece that broke free and just spun along with the bolt and no decent way to hold it steady in order to get the bolt properly screwed in there.

Not everyone can afford a " Detail Guy " is why I asked. I probably can, however, that is why I asked. To those who detail themselves, seems like a PIA. I DO like the looks of them and utilitarian aspect, but.....just sayn'

I can't speak for those with custom racks/rails (and I'm pretty sure that is who your question was directed to). I will, however add that my OEM venture Yakima rack and rails were pretty easy to pull off when I gave mine the 'treatment'.

    All of them.
Yep. But my camera is different from the one they used no ground on the actual camera until the very end of the wire connector which I used the same ground as my other accessories and they all work fine. I’m thinking they sent me the 14-19 kit vs the 20+ kit.even though my bag says 20+

I had my roof wrapped in matte black before I installed my rack to minimize maintenance. I also got this microfiber car wash mop on Amazon that just barely fits under most of the rails, making it a little easier. I didn’t do the wrap on my last one and really regretted it since anything on the rack can easily scratch this super thin paint

I've run those too, they're a great tire with good on road manners and hold their own off road.

Yes. I could have gone with taller/skinny but I had already ordered them and I don't care to be much taller. At some point I'll get a lift anyway.

Just about to hit 10k miles, so, I went ahead and got an appointment set up to get an oil change and have my new wheels installed on Saturday.

Even though I said I wouldn't. I'm also working up the courage to whip out the masking tape and fire up my dremel to cut my bumper in preparation for when I go up to 33s.

No dremel needed (unless you want to).

A sharp box knife is sufficient to trim for 33's.
