Has anyone else here installed aftermarket radio’s such as Cb, Ham, 10 meter…etc in they’re 4runners and experienced engine/alternator noise coming through the radio/radios.

If so, did you do anything to try and defeat, eliminate the noise and what products did you use or try that worked, didn’t work.

    TIA !

I have a Ham DMR radio in mine (2019) using a roof top stubby antenna - no noise.

I have been installing mobile 2-way radios 20 plus years.
    A couple of question
Where are you sourcing power from?
    Where is the ground connected?
    How is your antenna mounted?
Is the alternator noise coming through the speaker?
Or is happening when you transmit?
