I've tried looking everywhere but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know how to configure the keyfob to unlock all doors with one click of the unlock button?

It's buried under a menu on the head unit. I don't recall exactly where, but look for something related to 'vehicle'. You can also just click the fob unlock button twice.

I thought I read that the dealership scan tool has a way to change some settings from factory defaults.

With the engine running and in park.
    1) Menu
    2) Settings
    3) Vehicle
    4) Vehicle Customization
    5) Door Lock Settings

From there you can change how the door locks operate for a variety of things, including unlock all at once.

You might be able to do it with the ignition in 'Run' and the engine off, but I didn't try that. The 'Vehicle' menu option is grayed-out if you have the ignition in Accessory.

Good info, thanks. Will that procedure work for 2018's or just 20-21' models?

I don't really know to be honest. I've got a '20 and it's my first 4Runner. I poked around all the menus when I got it and that's how I found that setting.

Ok thanks, when I have a chance, I'll try your procedure and report back if it works or not.

It would be nice to be able to click the key fob once rather than having to spaz out on the button to allow the family to get in.

I don't live in a situation where I'm concerned about security.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
I had the dealer disable / uncheck that function. I like 1 click of the fob to open the driver side door and 2 clicks to open all the doors.
Seems more secure to me. When I'm by myself, I only want my door unlocking - don't need some homeless guy hopping in the passenger seat.

Also not a fan of auto-unlock when turning off the engine or shifting into park. Good way to get carjacked.

Maybe I'm just paranoid after growing up in Chicago plus working in the middle east & Africa.

I don’t think you’re paranoid at all, you’re street smart and aware of your surroundings. I think the same thing after working in Detroit a few years. I get why people like might like this feature in rural areas though.

You can set the options with a carista... Used to be able to at least. Need to set my doors to lock when starting the engine.

Try this. If memory serves this is the procedure I used. This came from a member on the form.

    1. Hold both Lock and Unlock buttons depressed on the fob.
    2. At the same time, press the Panic button for five seconds until you hear a beep.
    3. Release all buttons.

The unlock mode is now toggled to the alternate mode. Simply repeat the procedure to return to the previous mode.

Engine on, engine off, or accessory mode?

I guess us peasants with an SR5 are stuck with the factory setting. I couldn't get any changes with engine on, off, accessory. Though I did get a 4 sec. beep when I hit the panic button.

My 09 taco and 17 T4R both 1 click driver door unlock, 2 clicks all doors unlock. Really isn't that hard. Maybe you have dirt in your fob under the button.

    Or fat thumbs

I wouldn't consider my thumb girly or metrosexual in anyway, but thanks for fat shaming. After its done sitting in front of the tv watching the hallmark channel with a gallon of ice cream, i will make sure all our future push ups are conducted on finger tips.

This one is legit. Although you still can't unlock all doors with one click on the fob. The door touch sensing entry do unlock all doors, which is exactly what I wanted.

Legit maybe, depending on the year you have, which you didn't specify.

    2022 Limited,
I used this trick a while back on my 2013 Prius-C, 2018 Rav4 and 2016 Tacoma. It worked then so I sorta assummed it's a Toyota thing.

I think my 2020 SR5 was the last year for a real key that unlocks doors and the ignition?
