:anonymous: I figure I should probably join over here since I've had my T4R for about a month by now...

Same Nitori from Tacoma world, ended up selling my Tacoma around August of 2020. About January-ish I was hit with a profound wave of regret for doing so, and then in March I had a stroke that was very much a "take a step back and look in the mirror" moment for me. After a bit of soul searching I ended up selling my 2019 Honda Civic Si, and got into a 2021 SR5 T4R in MGM, optioned out with the premium audio and... not much else. But that's the main option I wanted anyways!

Immediately I went off and found some dusty trails to hit and I've been loving it ever since.

A little bit of background on the Tacoma side: I took a 2016 SR Utility package poverty-spec work truck and saved it from a life of being a fleet truck for the bug man or something. :p

You might be able to tell I have a bit of a thing for the 80's-90's rally aesthetic, I made a monochrome version of the triple-stripe TRD/Trophy truck livery because maybe the red/green Corolla Castrol job would have been a bit too "loud" for a daily driver.

I get way too stupidly involved in projects, but I try my best to leave some good documentation behind in the wake of my idiocy, like working out a way to retrofit fog lights onto Tacomas that weren't optioned that way from the factory. (fun fact: most of the wiring harnesses and the control unit are still in there, you just need to plug into it!)

I'm particularly nutty about suspension work, coming from a long line of sports cars, the tuning side of making things turn really well has always been my "thing."
So if I start asking bonkers questions, bear with me- but trust me, it'll be worth it when you see the results.:burp:

So yeah, hey everyone and nice to meet you!:hattip:

Right now just a bit of taking advantage of 4th sales for some cargo organizers and armor. :)

The true madness is yet to come.:boink:
Likely similar to the Tacoma but nothing over the top.

But that's what I said last time! :ohsnap:

Welcome from North Carolina. Prior Arizona resident myself. You in the city of Maricopa or the county?

    Maricopa city.

Depends on when you were last out here, but the area has gotten built up pretty quickly. I moved to AZ in 2017 and "natives" who have been here much longer gave me that sort of o_O look when I said I had bought a house in Maricopa in 2018. Apparently it's only recently changed from dusty backwater to retirement community bristling with Canadians when the winter hits.

The commute over 347 into "Phoenix Proper" still sucks but the price was right.

Yeah the first house we bought was in the city of Maricopa. That 347 has always sucked. Have you been up to Quartz peak? Taking the 4Runner off-roading behind that mountain is fun. Probably not right now when it is over 100 degrees.
