Just getting started!

Hi! I just got a new 2021 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium on the 10th of this month. I have been doing little things like adding running boards, tinting windows, putting rain guards on the windows, and just little things. Now I am looking to buy a bull bar for it and have been looking through pics and trying to find the one that looks the best and has the best quality. There are a lot of great ideas on here and a lot of info on whatever it is that you want or need to know. So glad I found this site.

Welcome from N Austin!! To answer your question, one that has been asked a few times and always makes me chuck to the direction it tends.

Unless you plan to actually swap out the full front bumper then most people will probably tell you not to get a bull bar (unless you’re a rancher or for hunting game). For the daily driver it doesn’t add but aesthetics. Having said that, you would most likely be fine going with any brand that has comparable pricing. If you want a full front bumper I’m sure you’d have more input there!

A Cheap Mod for a new 4Runner is to upgrade your dull yellow 5w Internal bulbs to White LEDs (about $1 a bulb). Brings the 4Runner Lightning into the 21th Century. I did mine in Red LEDs for Night Photography, including the 5 doors, but put White LEDs under the 2 sun visors and license plate. Added brighter 921 LED backup bulbs.

The Cheap 9005 DRL/High Beams were upgraded to a xenon bulb, a little whiter and brighter (1700 Lumens). All of these mods are easy to do and not very expensive.
