I don't understand why the Pro doesn't have memory seats while the Limited does when the Pro is supposed to be the top dog.

I'm 6'6" and my wife is 5'4" so not having that is a huge PITA.

It's especially horrible after getting her '19 RAV4 XLE Premium which does have it.

I don't really want actual leather or X-REAS which the Limited has just to get that feature.

I am crossing my fingers that they add it to the '22 Pro like they did with the Dual Climate Control back in the '20 Pro.

I think they reserve some luxury items for limited trim vehicles, to make it feel special and worth considering the luxury option over the off road option. For some, the 4runner is just a family suv and not an off road vehicle.

That being said, if I spend 55k on a truck, I'd be happier to have memory seats too, even if it's the "tough off road" model

Makes me wonder how hard it would be to add to a truck without memory seats... probably more expensive than it's worth

You're probably right. It just seems like such a small thing to exclude when you're paying more for the Pro than the Limited.

I looked into adding it and from what I could find it's a nightmare as there's a computer in between the seats and those buttons that goes through the mirror control module (why the mirror module I don't know) since it has to remember positions.

While it may be theoretically possible it just doesn't seem practical in any way, shape, or form.

It honestly has me considering a GX 460 because I'd get KDSS and the memory seats. I'd then have leather and an ancient infotainment system though. Plus the depreciation on them is insane compared to the 4Runner.

    There's just no winning :(

There's always some kind of compromise, even if it is artificially created by manufacturers

The Limited and the Pro both have them for '21.

I think pros always had the auto on the stalk. My buddy has auto on his ‘17 cement

    I have a simple but expensive solution;

    Buy his and her 4Runners.

Then you can adjust the seat and forget it. ;)

Get a limited 4runner and build it to be better than pro. Or get a GX460 like you said, and also build that to be better than a pro.

That's very possible. I didn't go back multiple years to compare that option.

I'm considering it, however, I really don't want the maintenance requirements of real leather nor the X-REAS on the Limited.

If I tried to get rid of her 100% Made in Japan RAV4 she'd kill me :D

It's a good thing the RAV4 has memory seats since I sold my 4Runner on Monday.

Anyone had the door panel off and notice if there was an unused connector laying around where the memory seat button goes?

Early FJ's had A-Trac already Wired In, so all you had to do is remove the switch cover blank on the dash and replace it with a $12 switch and you got free A-Trac.

That's a good looking Rav4. Is it the TRD that comes with A/Ts from factory? Its awesome that newer Rav4's got improved AWD system (torque vectoring AWD) on Adventure, Limited & TRD.

My old Rav4 had the old school AWD system and center diff lock button was the only thing it had. That was when I started using BFG KO2s.. LoL. Rav4 with KO2s looked odd back in the day.

I like that color on the Rav. Always have. There's just the right amount of black trim to keep it from being too much blue. How do you both like it?

As for the memory seats, I'm the only one who drives my 2019, so the memory feature would be unused in my case. I wonder how many others are in a similar situation. Plus, you're dealing with a significant size difference there, so I get it in your case.

Thanks! It really is sharp looking in that color.

Yeah they're the same tires as the TRD but this is an XLE Premium.

We love it! It's got plenty of zip (much more than the 4Runner), rides great, looks great, gets 28MPG.

Awesome! If one doesn't need/want the offroad capability pf the 4R, this is such a great choice. Personally, I think that color blue would look cool with a white roof.

It’s an 11-year-old model that traces back to the 2003 redesign.

I doubt that even Toyota knows how to option it.

Xreas is pretty easy to remove on the Limited. A lot of people do it when it fails at 70,000 miles. Rip it out and put whatever you want in there.
