Has anyone removed the two steps from each Predator-Tube Step?

I was looking to remove the Predator-Tube Steps in their entirety and sell them. They came stock on my 2021 at a option cost of $649. I would love to sell them for $500 if that is possible? Vehicle bought new on 5/13/21. Located in Frederick, MD.

Or, has anyone just cut-off the two steps on each side? I have a friend that owns a welding company and it would probably be easy to cut-off. The remaining bars would offer some form of rocker panel protection, but does not project out far enough to block opposing doors. Obviously the remaining bars would not be typical rock crawling sliders, but I have no intent to do that anyway and I prefer the the low profile look of the single bar.

Of the sliders on the market, the C4 slider without the top plates appears to be the most appealing to me at this time. But, looking at $1,000 all in for something I don't really need!

@YetiMtnBkr - Rather than cutting off the steps, you may want to sell them and purchase a set of take-off Toyota OEM "Trail Rails". They are not real sliders but are made from Aluminum and wont rust. You could probably sell your Predators for $400-$450 and buy the trail rails for under $300. You would get what you are looking for and put about $100+ back in your pocket.

I have a set of OEM Trail Rails sitting on the floor next to me that I took off at 25 miles that I am getting ready to sell. Too bad you aren't in Houston.

I've had the same thoughts but my wife uses the step.

I should use the step to get in but it's feels a little too far forward, so I just climb in. This will probably wear out my drivers seat quicker.

I measured the bottom of one of the steps to the floor and it's just over 15", so it has more than adequate clearance for the off road stuff I do.

But I sure do like those Cali-raised sliders on the recent thread!

I'd get the same exact ones that come straight out so they could be utilized as a step?
