    As far as I know, these are pretty new

    I'm personally very I terested in their 255/85/17 size offering, calculated to be about 34.5" tall (interestingly listed at 33.2" on 4wp). I've heard 255/80/17 will fit stock, so I wonder how much lift and mods would be required to fit a 1" taller tire of the same width?

    Anyways the tires look cool to me, an all terrain with super beefy sidewalls for the look. They're also three peak mountain snowflake, which is a requirement in my book to be able to go up to the mountains safely

    Thoughts?

    At that size I think you’d be in potential BMC territory. It’s not very wide, but it’s almost a 35” tire.

    BMC doesn't really scare me, it's just something I wouldn't do if I didn't need it. I feel like BMC, 1.5" lift, and front trimming should clear it, but no knowing until we try right?

    That would be a solid plan to avoid any potential issues. Might need UCA’s as well to adjust caster and push the tire forward in case if rubs on the pinch weld.

    Wow, looks awesome! Heavy AF,but looks like a good all around AT. hopefully they'll add more size and load range options. I could see these being popular in a 285/70/17 SL or LT/C.

    I'm sure the size rollout should be pretty quick, from what I gather these are only a few months old. I can definitely see these being popular, if nothing else for the aggressive look on an all terrain.

    For sure, 4Runner needs atleast 275 / 285 tires to match the looks. My wife wants softer ride on our road trips so I would not go more than Load C and be extra careful on trails. 255s are definitely not my taste for looks and only having Load E is not good for our long drives.

    Skinnies are definitely a bit of a polarizing look, it my eyes it makes the truck look taller and lighter, and a little more expedition-y :p

    Interestingly he weighs them a little over 42 lbs, but 4wp says 60+ per tire. Either way, for sure lighter than a comparable 'wide' 35

    RevTek 3" front- 2" rear leveling, JBA uca's, LED interior lights, Cooper 275-70-17 AT3 LT
    These tires have it all! Great tread pattern with siping, side biters for the mud, a brand name you can rely on. They are pretty heavy as far as that size of tire goes, imagine because of the side biter tread design. Getting an alignment with a little higher caster numbers will help with some of the rubbing. As far as lift, maybe 3''/2''?

    With any luck I'll be getting these withing the next few months, all depends on how the money goes as per usual lol

    I'm going to see if I can get away with bilsteins at 1.75"/1.5", most likely with some trimming and a BMC

    Curious if anyone has tried these in the stock size yet? The specs look great with comparable weights to similar tires. I especially like the xl load range as I really only need SL/P rated tires, but like the extra sidewall beef.

    I was going to get a set if I could have found a set of lightweight wheels with similar offset to the factory wheels but don't know if they exist. There are a few 17x8.5 wheels with +18 offset but wasn't sure how much clearance there would be to the spindle with the close to 5.5" backspacing especially with the aggressive sidewalls of the Mickeys. Ended up using OEM OR wheels and Toyo AT3s which are 5 lbs lighter. I've been playing with drag race type cars for about 50 years where you want the car low and the tires sucked in. Hard to get used to the direct opposite. Too bad there is no rear spring to lower the back an inch instead of raising the front to level. :)

    LT 285's are a bit on the heavy side at 65lbs. But the SL version at 48lbs looks very temping.
    I was set on toyo open country at3 but these just threw a curve ball at me, and they look more aggressive hmmm :bowdown:

    So...who has the 255 85 17s?

    I need new tires and I'm strongly considering these. I think I'm going to change my wheels from stock to Methods with a 0 offset. I currently have 5100s at the .85" setting, stock UCAs.

    I'm assuming I need new UCAs. I think I will also upgrade my shocks to Dobinsons Extended Travel:

    Idk what happened to the guy I was following on IG, his page is gone. This guy was running this tire and size you were looking at. He had a BM relocation (not BMC), cut 3-4" off the front fender, and hammered pinch welds to fit these. He also had ORP wheels with Spidertraxx spacers then switched to methods with 0-offset due to balancing issues that continued even after the switch.

    EDIT: Sorry. This was more of a statement, idk how this even helps you. I'll see myself out.

    Haha. It helped. I forgot about the relocation kit. I’d rather do the chop I think. Seems easier and it’s something I can do easily. I don’t know if I trust my welding skills for a full relocation. I’m more of a grinder than a welder.

    Running SPC upper control arms at the G setting=0 caster.
    If you run any Toyota wheels, the offset of those are at -15, I'm pretty sure you can run the tires with the OEM UPC.

    Interesting. I'm sort of hoping I can. I would like to wait to pull the trigger on the UCAs and shocks. My wife is already asking me why we "NEED" to spend the money on this car.
