Timing help please

    Upper cam moved here is current situation:
    Ok
    Belt off
    Lower crank mark is on
    Driver side sprocket is on
    Passenger side sprocket is at 2oclock
    I can turn passenger side and line up BUT its in-between area where it breaks over as you turn is that ok?
    Driver side breaks over at 12, 4, and 8 o'clock which seems perfect
    Passenger side breaks over at 2, 6, and 10 so I manually have to stop at 12
    Want to verify that it's ok on passenger side that when mark is at 12.....it's in between where it stops on its own as you turn clockwise
    As I turn either top cams they kind of break over 3 different spots drivers side stops at 12 4 and 8oclock which 12 puts it perfect
    Passenger side stops 2 6 and 10 so I have to turn it a little further to get to 12 but not far enough for breakover
    Is something wrong with passenger side cam

    I don't quite follow what you mean by "breaks over". If you're saying that you cannot get the cams stay at their position, that is normal. You can slowly turn the cams and that should work. Removal of the spark plugs will help as this takes compression forces out of the picture.

    Could be wrong but, after taking my heads apart, my passenger side slipped similar to yours. It seems like the timing might be off on the right side. Has there been work on them? I imagine where your exhaust/intake camshafts alight might be off on the teeth (I really don't have much experience but, if work was ever done and the camshafts weren't rotated 180 degrees; to remove tension, this could be an explanation.)
