    Hello,
When my A/C air vent selector is positioned to blow straight at me there is an annoying clicking sound. If I switch the vent to a different position it stops. If is wasn't so dang hot here in Texas it would be no big deal but, I need to have that vent blowing directly on me. Any suggestions on the root cause would be much appreciated. I have a 2005 Limited V8 4WD. Thank you.

Sounds like a mode door or mode door motor problem. Like it “thinks” the door needs to move further to be in the selected position but since it can’t go further it keeps trying, thus the clicking. You should be able to find some threads on here that describe how to put it into self diagnosis mode. Maybe that will shed some light.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I will look into the possibility it is the mode door.
