    Hi,

I searched the forums but couldn't find anything so will give it a shot. I'm returning my 2021 lease to Toyota and crazily enough I have equity after 6 months and 5,000 miles. I want to go back to a 2017 or 18 and I've reserved a 2017 TRD Pro from Carmax. Question is Carmax states it only has 10,575 miles (Carfax and Autocheck also state no issues but given the low mileage no real service history) and wondering if I should be worried or can verify it's not been rolled back. Not sure if anyone has experience with 5th Gen odometer tampering. Any help appreciated!

    Thanks!

Wow, that's low mileage. You sure they didn't leave a digit off the ad.

Not sure how someone could roll back a digital odometer, but I guess today anything is possible.

No they said they didn't and confirmed with them on the phone. It's being transferred now so will see I guess!

Dang that's scary and upsetting. Makes me not want to buy used.

I'm really kicking myself for selling my Tacoma after I got my 4Runner. I bought it new and it would have been perfect for my teenager.

I was just so pumped to get almost 5k out of a 21 year old truck with over 260,000 miles. Only Toyota.

Now I'm stuck in that dark zone, trying to find a used car without getting screwed. :annoyed:

Once upon a time crooks were a small segment of our population. Once upon a time. Sad!

I agree, I had to cut myself off of the news. There's so much corruption and dishonesty in all walks of life, that it's extremely depressing.

Finding honesty and integrity today seems like searching for a live purple unicorn.

I know there's still a lot of good people in the world but unfortunately the bottom feeders are the focus of the news.

Sorry for my off topic rant.

Just something to consider; I just sold my 1999 Ford F-150 lightning. Was a creampuff, and only had 30k miles on it.
22 years old, and hardly broke in.

Why are you going from a 2021 to a 17 or 18? Just curious. Something you didn’t like about the 2021?

Is there a Carfax report on this vehicle? If so there might be a maintenance history on the report. There would be if it was serviced at a dealership or even one of those Quicky lube places. They all report the mileage at time of service to some database.

I have a '18 and just turned 22,000 I'm not even doing 10,000 a year right now. I've gone three weeks at a time without literally even starting it up.
