Quick Alignment Question for a 1 inch front level on a 2021 SR5 Premium 4x4

Going to be leveling our 4runner as soon as it gets in to the dealer. Just want to toss the cornfed front spacers. We don't have a Toyota dealer in my town. What kind of alignment specs should I be looking for with a 1 inch front level and can the shop in town that's not a Toyota place do it?

 

I just did the same thing on my 2020 and got an alignment at local shop
I wasn’t sure if I needed it but they did have to make adjustments

Are you trying to fit bigger tires too?

If not, any reputable alignment shop will know the specs.

If they ask you for the specs, turn around and run!

 

nah keeping stock size just in a Toyo at3 with different wheels zero offset. just want to get rid of the rake a bit. nothing fancy.

 

No mine is an SR5 premium, they just wrote it down wrong on the paper.

I sort of both agree and disagree with this… a competent tech should def know the specs… but I also feel like a good tech should ask as well (when it comes to dealing with a modified vehicle). Well, even modified stuff aside… Quite a few places I’ve found have lazy or poorly trained tech that will just do a toe and go, and whatever caster and camber fall is what you get, so long as it’s not too far out in the red. I feel like if I give them what I want, they’re more likely to at least try, lol.

I tend to always provide specs. My ideal setup is is in the ballpark of 0 or slightly negative camber; caster at 3 or higher (4 if you have the upper control arms to help get you there), and slight toe in (1/16” in or slightly negative degree). I’d be happy with the sheet posted above by dcwn

 

I get what you're saying. I provide the caster specs to my alignment shop because of my larger tires. I know what setting helps them clear.

My recommendation was specific to the OP's situation and since he doesn't have larger tires, I don't think there's much of a reason to specify the specs.

 

Yeah I was hoping there was a company out there that specialized in 4runners. Thuren Fabrication has specs specific to our Power Wagons which was handy. I'll bring that sheet that was provided and see if they come close.
