I am somewhat interested in a new 4Runner SR5 Premium 4X4 and know that right now is not a good time to purchase a vehicle due to the shortage along with supply and demand. Anyways, i wanted to know what you folks were roughly paying for your SR5 Premium 4X4 prior to the pandemic landing upon us.

Dealer was offering about $6500 off MSRP on all models except the pro pre-covid.

    Where do you live?

You’d be lucky to get MSRP in most of Northern California right now.

    I got $4,500 off in June 2020.

Interestingly, my 4R was built at the height of Covid weirdness -- April 2020.

Some dealers might still be able to order something for you out of the few remaining models that have been allocated to them, but production has stopped for this year, and the best you will probably see is MSRP.

I know my dad just bought one in Mobile Alabama at MSRP.

Right. Covid was in Japan, too. Ultimately, I don't think it matters much, but I have occasionally wondered if it's like the old joke about your car being built on a Friday = worse quality.

Shoot my plan was to scope out for the 2022 models but for sure i’m not getting rear ended by paying near or more than MSRP.

Got $5,200 off MSRP on July 31, 2020.

I wonder what they'll offer me for a trade value tomorrow when I take it in for service.

For comparison, I ordered a 2021 SR5P 4x4 on June 4th with only adding 3rd row and weathertech mats and am paying msrp of $43,379.

Did you have a trade in present? Any manufacture incentives as well?

Doesn’t seem too bad to me. I had a free $15k for a down payment anyways. I’m more than happy to pay that for what the runner comes with.
