Ah, one question I forgot to get in to my last post. How do you like the jackery system? I'm between this and the goal zero and can't decide. Leaning toward the jackery. I have 20% off at moosejaw and need to pull the trigger soon. Thanks in advance.

Based on all my research Jackery always seems to come out on top when compared head to head with other units. That's not to say it's perfect, but across the spectrum of abilities it continually racks up the most points.

How are you liking the look and feel of the Westcott Designs lift?

The look speaks for itself, but I would hate to compromise it's current ride quality.

    Still running the stock tires?

I like the ride of the 2021 Pro in it's current stock form - only 900 miles thus far in less than three weeks! Very content with the stock look as well, but it does not take long to ponder the mods!

    Thanks!

Awning installed. Not sure if I overthought installing it by myself - or not? but the install went exceptionally smooth :)
With our temps hitting 108 to 110 now, ya gotta start a project before sunrise and be done by 10AM  Life in "The Skillet" :(

Order the 1.75 mounts and you're good to go. FWIW, the seller is easy to talk to - send him a message or give him a ring.

@T4Rrunning > TIP: When mounting the awning to the round mounts. Use the lowest holes in the front mount, and the center holes in the rear mount - to make it level. Also, if you want mount separation numbers let me know. Having all that done pre install makes it a breeze.

Thank you for the info on the shovel mount. Was it as simple as ordering the 1.75" diameter mounts and bolting them up? No other hardware or modification needed? How have you liked it since having it? Last thing I want is to have my shovel flying off on the highway but throwing my dirty shovel in the back every time is getting old. Would love for this mount to work. Thanks!

It was that simple. No regrets on the purchase. Just make sure the 'quick fist clamps' fit your shovel handle tight enough to securely hold it in place.

Great! Thanks so much. I was looking for a good shovel and axe option and the only other thing I have seen discussed was that plastic "monkey fist" stuff but that wasn't really something I wanted. This looks much more promising. Thanks again!

    Man.....am I glad summer's over

Been busy around here. Bitter sweet> sold the 'V' car (thank you CarMax). Have to say the 7 years it was around brought me more pleasure than the last vet ever did. Fact.

Finishing up some things that were paused for the summer :sadviolin: I know .

    Source - https://www.adventuretrailgear.com

Finally got to set the tire deflators. First one was a pain. Scrapped the instructions and did it my way .....live and learn.

Oh, and I anti seized the skid plate bolts and screws. Are they on nut plates.....seemed to have a lot of wiggle room?

Can you believe we're still waiting on those vanity plates? 24 weeks later and nada. Hey DMV! How about a refund?
    showPlateImage.do.jpg

Still debating a fridge slide........soon will be tossing the Aluboxes & contents up top and going for a final 'almost' fully kitted weigh-in.

    More on that latter :)

Final weigh day has been a long time coming. Fully kitted & full fuel tank(filled at weigh point).

    The numbers.
    5,600 pounds total weight.
    2,680 front axel(48%) 2,920 rear axle(52%).
Corner weight scaled 1,400 pounds per (X4=5,600).
Center axle to fender on all four corners measures 22 inches.
Total load compression of springs/shocks from stock height.
    -1" front(+-) -1.5" rear(+-)

    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

    FYI
    2021 TRD Pro only.

    GVWR: 6,300 LBS

GVWR Divided by 4 = 1,575 max weight per tire(OEM).

    GAWR: FRT 3,000 LBS

    GAWR: RR 3,450 LBS

The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed 880 LBS.

    CURB WEIGHT WET 4,750 + 880 COMBINED WEIGHT = *5,630 MAX LOAD

    * Minus 79 LBS as noted on the YELLOW sticker located in the drivers door jamb.

MAX LOAD 2021 TRD Pro 5,551 pounds with OEM tires.

Well the Terra Grapplers lost the battle. I'm not comfortable running them considering the trucks overall weight, when loaded. At max, there was 175 pounds of load carrying ability left in each tire. That doesn't leave a guy feeling warm an fuzzy. While I still think they're a decent tire, my confidence in them off road simply wouldn't be there with that slim of a margin.

The truck is now rolling on 4 TOYO 285/70/R17 E rated Open Country A/T 3 3 peak, with a spare hanging out back. First impressions. The truck is deffinantly more planted and that transfers to the butt and steering wheel. While they're a bit more crisp feeling when running on a rough surface, it gives more of a truck vibe than one of annoyance(@35 psi).

Always ready to adapt to change.

I think you made a wise decision, keep an eye on them you may have to bump em up a couple psi.

Like @SlvrSlug said; you might want to bump the tires up. According to the tire pressure calculator on tiresize.com, LT285/70/17's should be run at 38 on our 4Runners. That's what I was running mine at, and the results were good.

I have the same tires in "C" and really like them overall. They're going back on this coming weekend, probably.
