Just had a Icon stage 7 put on my 2021 TRD Off Premium 4runner. What kinds of feedback do you have for me before I break it in?

Whatever feedback there is, if it’s negative it’s too late now:anonymous:

Ehh, more looking for like pointers on the system and how to use it to its fullest...but Icon did tell me I could do some sweet jumps!

Uhhh just use the way you would normally use it...? An Icon Stage 7 or any other suspension is not going to give you any super powers or make your a better off-road driver. That's on you. Honestly sounds like a question you should have asked before going head first into a Stage 7 but it's too late for that now.

Like others have said, go use it on various types of terrain so you get a feel of the suspension. I would add weight to the vehicle to replicate an off-road trip since an empty vehicle will feel differently than a loaded down one.

Also, don’t forget to tighten the suspension down again and add or update the paint marks so you know if there is any movement in the future. Enjoy!

3.5 lift with Toyo Open Country AT 285/70/17s on Relations wheels. Just waiting on a thousand more parts to finish her off....no big deal

Does the stage 7 icon kit include lower trailing arms? Can’t tell if those are stock or not.

Yeah, it came with those and they are installed. For what I paid for it, it had better come with those and a happy ending.

Rake? I assume that has something to do with leveling?

Rake = rear is higher than the front
    Reverse rake = the opposite

    Yea

    3.5” rears would be 25.5”
    3.5” fronts sinks be 23.5”

so the rears would be raked ..

    Mine is

    2” rears at 24”
    3.5” fronts at 23.5”

    mine is near leveled

How do you like the ride so far? I’m getting an Icon Stage 2 installed in a couple weeks that I’m pretty excited about.

@SnakeDr I freaking love it. I have only been able to drive around town (waiting on sliders and body armor before I get too crazy). The adjustment capabilites on it are great. We have a 2021 TRD Pro LR with the Fox set up. The ICON stage 7 is superior (I would hope so for the money) to the Foxon the LR. I would assume a stage 2 would give you the ride quality you are looking for. Good luck!

Would you say it smooth on road? I have a Pro LR as well.

I do, it’s ridiculously smooth on the road.

I’m really not looking forward to rebuilding the shocks, I’ll probably just buy new ones.
