Billet Aluminum Red Anodized TRD UCA's.

This is from the 2022 Tacoma Pro, but I'd be willing to bet the 4Runner will get them too.

    Two questions:
1, will they fit a third gen?
2, can you grind the TRD off?

    Hello Jake,
    It's a guess, LoL.

Crazy what is going on with the 4runners; a dealership in Arizona had a 2019 TRD off-road premium for sale with 19.000 miles, sold for $54,000.00.

Are they able to be greased? Ball joint doesn't look like it from the picture, unless you get the grease option for $75.00.

    It's a good question.

I wonder what bushings they'll be running too. Urethane or rubber. Hard to tell from the picture, but there might be some grease zerks there??

As for cost, I'm guessing $1,800. If you've ever looked into billet aluminum UCA's...........they pricey :spending: Add the TRD stamp and it automatically increases the price by a couple hundred bucks.

traded in our 2018 4Runner with 42k miles, sight unseen for 37 grand. while we were completing the deal, picking up our new vehicle, they didn't even look at the 4runner until we were taking the plates off, and even then it was just a look, not really checking it out. What concerns me is the prices in the future, im sure this will settle out some, but MSRPs are going to climb and thus keep used prices up.

As some have already mentioned, just from a glance, these don’t quite look the quality of aftermarket (no evident grease fitting for starters). If it is the case that these are slightly... let’s say simpler, than the high dollar aftermarket brands, it seems reasonable to me for them to follow the pricing pattern for their rock sliders (which are essentially an entry-level aftermarket slider), which are less than half the cost of (assembled and powder-coated) aftermarket sliders.

Wishful thinking: maybe because they already have so much overhead taken care of, they don’t need to price gouge like the rest of the market to make their margin on these parts?

A greaseable joint is always a bonus but those UCAs when driven reasonably will last a long time. The Ironman 4x4 UCAs that I have with my lift doesn't include grease points either, but do use a genuine Toyota ball joint.

Will they fail faster than a TC uniball, Icon Delta Joint, SPC, or JBA? Who knows, but I'm thinking it will take me 100,000 miles first, and then you go through the hassle of pressing it out and replacing it.

For those who say, "But I need the high performance ones." I highly doubt it. Only a select few of us on here actually use those as a race or high performance part, myself excluded as well

That's 12 grand more than I just paid for my 2021 TRD/ORP with SR with no miles. Why are people willing to pay this ? Sounds like the current frenzy for the PRO's is creeping down to the other trim levels (?)

Just supply and demand. People have more disposable income than patience at this point.

I also paid $42k for my ORP 2020 model and could trade it in right now for around $47 - $49k. Does it make sense? It does if you have the money and want one now, but there are exactly ZERO new unsold 4Runners in my area.

If you don't mind waiting 6 months, you can happily pay MSRP for one I'm sure. As global supply chain problems ease, things will stabilize. That might be a while tho.

Exactly, I paid 43K 2019 TRD ORP 3 miles on it, with upgrades like rock-sliders, wheels body protection and more.

I don't have a magic crystal; hence, I believe we will see a strong economic decline beginning of next year.
